I did it for Jade Dragons :)

LOL you deserve a medal. I also deserve one for Thunder Snow, I gave that 1 star too but only so I could post a review, as it gets less than 0 for me.

Right--sometimes we take one for the team, even if you are on the other one :).

Hmmm, I don't know, but I am doing my best to keep 1 star books to a minimum or pretty soon the game won't be fun anymore :) I know I've read at least two of them, though.

1. Lots of telling where showing could work better
2. The writer can't let me know someone's angry or frustrated without exclamation points! I mean one bit with Garrett has an exhausting number of them!
3. Garrett says that Alexis (these are our protagonists) is smart, but she isn't very smart, although she is definitely smarter than Lacey Luzzi in those mafia books (just start typing Lacey Luzzi in a GR book search and you'll find them) but I gave those books 2 stars.
4. I got so sick and doggone tired of Garrett referring to Lacey and her daughter as his girls. This is one of my pet peeves, no doubt dating back to my university years--studying women's studies and how (and this was so very true when I was growing up) women were often called girls where men were called men and in a demeaning way (such as in the workplace, for just one of many examples)--but it was irksome.
5. The book was sometimes really repetitive. The writing repeated the same information unnecessarily. I found the writing redundant (have I made this clear yet ;) ? )
6. Far too much gratuitous swearing.
7. I am not into the sex scenes, but I am quite positive, based on all of Garrett's first person POV, his side was written in a female fantasy way (which, of course, is what many women reading these scenes want because it is fun escapism if you like this sort of thing).
8. Some typos in the text and some poor punctuation choices.
But if none of that stuff bothers you and you like a second chance cheesy romance, this is free on kindle unlimited.
