Leena (leena23) This old barn was renovated by Mason and his dad Jason, they bought the piece of property pretty cheap, and decided to work with the one and only building on the place. The barn, so they made it into a home that would fit a bachelor, and Mason is happy with his home near school. His mother had some hand in the finishing touches, leaving a Texas décor to help him remember home so he doesn't get too homesick while away.... he also has his dog Daisy with him

Leena (leena23) Mason had gone home and immediately taken Daisy out for a walk, she was his sheep dog from back home and the love his life at that moment. She was only a year old, very much a pup still, so she was always hyper it seemed. The dog yipped and bounced around him as they went out to the wide field behind his house, "What do you want, huh? Did you miss me?" He grinned and took a treat out of his pocket, her ears perked up, Mason tossed the treat into the air, Daisy jumped and caught it in her mouth, then went running around the field, getting some energy out. Mason let her run for about ten minutes before he corralled her back inside, he shut the barn door and went towards the bathroom. "I got a hot date tonight Daisy, now don't be jealous," Mason told her as he shucked his clothes off and started the hot water in the shower. He washed up from the run, he stepped out onto the thick, brown rug and wrapped a towel around his waist, rivulets of water made trails down his chiseled chest.
He went up the stairs to his loft bedroom, thank God for the high ceilings, Mason could fully stand in the remodeled barn loft. He went through his drawers and pulled out boxer briefs, wrangler jeans, thick socks, a light blue and white flannel shirt, undershirt, and pulled his boots over to the bed. He got dressed in a lazy sort of way, taking his time, once he was sure he looked good enough to dance, he went back down the stairs. He went to the bathroom and put on some aftershave, even though he hadn't shaved, he liked the rough look, cologne, and deodorant. Mason checked the time on his phone, yeah he had enough time to get her still. Mason put out some food and water for Daisy and then grabbed his keys off the island, off he went to pick up Cat. Hopefully she was ready for a southern boy, because he was almost to her house by the time he checked the clock again. It was 5:54, he eased into the street that held some of the Sorority houses, he stopped in front of the Zeta house, he'd texted her earlier and asked what house she was in, thank goodness she'd given him her number. The number was still on his hand, faded now from the shower. He hopped out of his dark blue truck, it was a big, four door F350, with all sorts of Texas lovin' and hunting stickers on the back bumper. He pushed his Stetson back on his head some and headed to the front door, a few girls gave him looks as he walked up, they were lounging on the lawn. He paid them no attention as he knocked nice and loud on the door.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat out a loud scream. Her sorority sisters had her surrounded. One of them was holding accessories up to her face and arms, the other had a brush going through her hair, and one of them was trying to get more makeup onto her face. They were all giggling and laughing, but as soon as Cat screamed, they backed off. "Thank you for helping me get ready. But I'm a big girl, and I can handle be rest myself." She told them, doing her best to smile at them. They'd put her in a dress, and not just any dress. The top was cut like a tank top, but there was a light brown belt at the waist that synched it in before poofing just a little bit. The hemline was short, but it was a decent dress, navy blue with white polka dots all over it. She wasn't exactly a fan, but they basically pushed her into wearing it. Cat had done her own makeup, which meant a little bit of black eye liner and some red lipstick. Her red hair was left in soft waves, a single bracelet on her wrist. Once the other girls left her room, she started to stuff some things into her brown leather purse. She knew Mason would be there soon, and now that she was alone, all she could feel was awful butterflies. She just wanted to talk to Jo, but she was out. So it was just Cat, rushing around her room. And then she heard a knock on the door, and she groaned loudly. She definitely wasn't ready, but she just had to be. Cat rushed down the stairs, making sure she got to the door before her sisters. She swung open the door and saw Mason standing there, in his jeans and his hat, he looked amazingly hot. "Hey," she said with a smile on her bright red lips. "Nice hat." She told him with a giggle on her lips. She stepped outside of the house.

message 4: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Mason was just starting to wonder if anyone was going to answer the door when it opened, with hands on his hips he looked Cat over. Hadn't she said she wasn't dressing up? A smile curled over his lips when she mentioned his hat, "Nice dress princess." He returned and closed the door behind her, then he gestured to the large truck parked on the side of the street. They walked down and he opened the door for her, he offered his hand to help her up, the truck was kind of high. He closed the door behind her, careful not to get her dress in the door, and then jogged around to the other side, getting into the drivers side with ease he started the truck up and started towards their first destination. Actually he would park on a side street and they could walk to both places, much easier than trying to park in front of either venue. "So what made ya get in a dress instead of your other duds?" He asked with a teasing smile on his face, he stole a quick glance over at Cat, she was gorgeous.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat rolled her eyes when he complimented her dress, yeah well he was the one in a huge rodeo hat, she looked much more normal than he did. She lead the way down to the truck, and couldn't help but smile when he gave her his hand to help her into the huge pickup. It was almost laughable. He was calling her a princess, and their chariot was a pickup truck. She liked the warmth of his hand on hers, and she laughed as soon as he got into the truck. "It's really an awful story. My sorority sisters found out I was going on a date. And Jo, my roommate, wasn't there to save me. So trust me, this is the most casual they would let me go." She told him. Her eyes sparkled as she looked over at him, though "I like the country look on you. I mean the hat, is, a little much for me. But it suits you, cowboy." She told him, relaxing in the passenger seat.

Leena (leena23) Mason turned out of the college, and onto the main road. It wouldn't take them long to get to the restaurants, so this would be a short ride. "I'm glad they did, though I have to admit," He put his blinker on and got into the middle lane, he turned down a familiar side street and parked. Honestly if he lived closer then he would of suggested walking, but hey since he had the truck, why not use it? "It's going to be hard to keep my eyes off your legs all night," Mason grinned unabashed, then hopped out of the truck and ran around to her side of the truck, he opened the door for her and helped her out, once she was on the ground he tucked her arm into the crook of his elbow. "I'm glad you like the look, because this is normal wear for me when I go out, at home its more the jeans, ballcap, and t-shirt look," He shrugged his broad shoulders and clicked the button that would lock his truck up and arm the alarm on it. He slid the keys into his pocket, and then led Cat towards the sidewalk, a little further on and they would be running into all of the local businesses, restaurants, tourist shops and the like.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat laughed softly at him, her hand resting on the edge of the seat and gazing over at him. He was cute, and so far, he was being a gentleman. Well, maybe a gentleman wouldn't be talking about her legs, but it was nice to hear, because Cat liked her legs too, God knows she works hours to keep them lean and muscled. His grin was cute, honestly, and once he had parked, cat waited for him and hopped out of the truck, placing her hand right in the crook of his elbow. "My legs?? Well someone's a little pervy. But I can't really judge, because your butt looks nice in those jeans." She said, smiling like a minx and walking down the street of restaurants. "I've only been down this street once so far, and I was kind of drunk when it happened. So which one is us?" She asked hm, only a teeeny bit embarrassed about her previous drunkness. But it was actually pretty funny, so she wouldn't worry too much.

message 8: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Mason blushed slightly, so she'd been checking him out as well, and she found him just fine. He nodded his head toward their right. "That's our first stop right there. We can have some wine and appetizers... Or we might just eat there too with how you're dressed. We can go to the pub anytime, I'm kind of in the mood for a lady and the tramp kind night anyway," he opened the door for her and grinned cheekily, he could definitely imagine them sharing a plate of spaghetti and meatballs and their lips meeting over the plate, yeah he needed to cool it some. He cleared his throat and followed in behind Cat, he just couldn't really help the direction of his thoughts with the little number she had on. He forced his eyes to leave Cat and looked at the hostess instead. She informed them that they would be seated in a moment and spoke into her ear piece about something.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat followed Mason until he said they were at the restaurant. She was pleasantly surprised when they went in. It was a cute place, not too fancy, but very warm feeling. "Oh this is great." She said softly, looking around at the place. She walked close to Mason, wishing for his who's arm carefully around her waist. Maybe after dinner though. "Well you can count me in as Lady." She told him wit a cheeky smile on her face. She would love to kiss Mason across a table, or anywhere. She'd been itching to kiss him since they met on the track. Cat smiled politely at the hostess when she walked them through the restaurant to a tae for two, nestled right into the back where it was a little quieter, a better place for them to talk. Cat sat down at the table and crossed her ankles in her pretty dress. She actually felt much too pretty, it wasn't like her to look like this.

message 10: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) (I should be done with wolverine boy today)

Mason followed Cat and the waitress to a secluded table at the back, where the twinkling lights looked best. He ordered them a couple of different bottles of wine to try and then relaxed in his seat as he looked over the small table at Cat, she didn't seem very comfortable in her dress. He almost suggested that they go back to his place so that she could change into a pair of sweats of his and a t-shirt, oh God, now his imagination was running wild. Her walking around his place in nothing but one of his Dallas Cowboy jerseys..... Wow Mason get ahold of yourself before you embarrass yourself, good thing I'm sitting down, Mason ran a hand over his head and finally spoke, "So you like Italian? I was thinking of ordering bread sticks as an appetizer if that's okay?" He knew he would be getting the spaghetti and meatball plate, and maybe a side of their tortellini soup, it was really good.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

((Yay!! I finished Catherine :3))

Cat looked across at Mason. He looked flustered for a minute, and she liked that look on him, if she was being honest. She nodded when he asked her if she liked Italian food "Of course I do, my dad actually used to take me to a place sort of like this after all my gymnastics meets. I mean, back when I was a kid." She said. It was a nice memory for her. Mason ordered a couple types of wine, and she was happy when she didn't get carded. She had a fake ID in her purse, but she hated using it. It felt much more legal to drink under age when no one asked her if she was of age or not. Cat realized after a moment what he might think she meant by talking about her childhood "I mean, not that I think you're like my dad or anything. You're way too hot and too sweet to be anything like him, I mean, wow. I'm just going to be quiet now." She said, looking down at the table instead of at Masons face. She couldn't believe she'd just compared her hot date to her father.

message 12: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Mason was glad that she liked Italian, it was a nice break once in a while from the southern food he was accustomed to. He grinned wide when she went into a ramble about her dad, and comparing, well she was emphasizing she wasn't comparing him to her dad and getting all kinds of upset with herself and then fell silent and refused to look at Mason. "Hey, its fine, don't worry, I didn't think you were comparing me to your daddy, though now you almost sound like you have daddy issues," He clucked his tongue in a teasing manner, only jesting with her to ease the tension she so obviously felt. "C'mon," The wine had arrived, he poured some white wine in her glass, then in his own, "Let's just drink and eat some good food, no need for pink cheeks and staring at table cloth like it will hide you." Mason took a sip of his wine and peered over at her, his eyes dancing with enjoyment at getting to poke fun at her, she was adorable to be honest.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat bit down on her lip when Mason started up his talking again, so he was going to pick on her? Cats eyes perked up and she looked at him. Her eyes squinted at him in a meek glare "Daddy issues? Yeah??" She asked him, picking up her glass of wine and taking a sip. It was actually very good wine, and white was her favorite anyway. "Everyone has daddy issues, it all just depends on how well you hide them. I'm just not that good at hiding things." She admitted to him, laying one of her hands in her lap. She guessed it was time to start the whole casual conversation thing, but honestly, she hated small talk. She could do t though, she could give it a try. Cat rested her elbows on the table and laid her chin in her hands, looking across the table at him like he was in trouble for some reason "Are we gonna do small talk? Or are you just gonna pick on me all night long??" She asked him.

message 14: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) He supposed she was right, everyone did have daddy issues, his were just a little deeper than most. He wondered about hers though... would she reveal them to him? Pillow talk? Hah, yeah right, they would not be talking about her daddy for pillow talk. She leaned down into her hand and gave him a look that said that he may or may not be about to get smacked. He prepared himself as she opened her mouth, there was no telling what he could have done, then she said something that caught him off guard. Small talk was usually something a couple didn't discuss, it was just something they did to get through the date so that they could get into each others bed later on. He raised both brows and considered her words for a moment or two, "Honestly? Teasing you has been the most fun I've had in a while, so we may just do the teasing thing for the rest of the evening, that is unless you have something," He wiggled his brows at her, "More interesting in mind?" His place was clean, the only person there was Daisy, so if she wanted they could easily head back to his place after dinner, nothing else getting in the way.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat wished she could help the smile that pulled on her lips when e started to erase her even more, but she simply couldn't. He was too charming, and too right. She did have something more interesting in mind, but it was their first date, so she doubted that would be happening. A small laugh bubbled from her lips as she looked at him "In your dreams cowboy." She said to him, taking another long sip of her wine. The glass was practically gone already. Cat didn't have a huge tolerance for alcohol, but it was better than most girls her age. "And as long as you're teasing me, I guess I'll just have to tease you about being a stereotype rolled into one person. I mean, really. What is goin on? You've got the hat, the jeans and the boots and even the flannel?? The whole charming accent and the tan and the muscles and everything. Tell me the truth. Now, were you made in a factory?" She asked him, trying very hard not to laugh at her own teasing, she thought she was Sooo good.

message 16: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Mason did his gentleman like duty and refilled Cat's wine glass, then he poured a bit more into his own and took a nice, long drink of it as he watched her, then set the glass back down on the table. She might have said that it was wishful thinking to getting her in bed that night, but her eyes said something else and he felt himself grinning. Then she was talking about his looks, and persona. He chuckled, nice and deep, "I'm afraid not ma'am, just raised the right way I suppose, and good breeding too I guess. You know what they say, everything is bigger and better in Texas." He looked at her with his charming grin, kind eyes, and easy going attitude. What kind of guys had she known? Didn't seem like she met guys like him often, and well that was a darn shame because she deserved to be treated right. Maybe she'd only dated boys, and now she was getting a taste of how a man acted and treated a lady? He wasn't sure, but the breadsticks arrived, as well as two salads. "Mmmm, bread," He muttered before taking one of the thick pieces of bread and took a bite, the buttery, garlic covered bread practically melted in his mouth.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat scrunched up her nose at his answer "Ugh oh my god you just called me ma'am!" She squeaked out. The waiter brought over bread and salads, and cat mimicked Mason in taking a piece of the bread first. She tore off the yi users piece though and threw it at Masons head "People call my mother maam" she scolded him, giggling at the fact that she'd thrown bread at him. In public. On a grown up date. She took a sip of her wine again before sinking her teeth into the garlic bread, she smiled through closed lips at how delicious it was, she hadn't had really good food since she was at home, and her mom was cooking for her. At the Zeta house, the only good cook was the dominos guy down the street. Once cat had swallowed the bread she looked at Mason again "And I'm gonna have to say you're wrong, Mason. Everything is bigger and better in New York City, the best city in the world and way better than Texas." She told him, trying to proudly represent her home city.

message 18: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) She threw a piece of bread at him, he looked at her a bit in shock at first, his mouth hanging wide open and everything. Then he shut his mouth, barely holding back a laugh, the minx could certainly make sure things didnt' get boring. "That was definitely un-ma'am like so don't worry, I won't be calling you that again," He told her before drinking some of the wine down. He could hold his alcohol fairly well when it came to beer or straight liquor, wine, well he wasn't so sure about. He shook his head as she tried to say New York was better, "Definitely not darlin'," He took on a prideful look, "Texas is definitely better than any other state." He had a stubborn set to his stubble jaw, and his eyes said that he was very proud of where he came from. "Not that any of that matters tonight, we can argue over states and cities later, how's the food?" He had already pushed his salad away, not really interested in it. Much more interested in her and the bread, well and the wine of course. He poured more wine into her glass, yeah they were going to kind of tipsy by the time the main course arrived, hell he might not even eat it.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat chuckled some at him when he looked oh so prideful about his home state. She was still pretty sure that her city was much better. I mean she had some of the best museums in the country and the Bert shops, the coolest people, and a lot of great music. Texas? Well she was fairly sure they only had cows, she'd never been. Cat reached her hand across the table and her thumb stroked down his stubbled check and into his jaw "Alright Mason, whatever you say." She half purred, teasing him. Cat drew her hand back though as she took yet another large sip of wine, she was already on the fast track to being way too drunk for her own good. "The food? It's so good. I don't really like salad, I think it's rabbit food and food for lazy people that don't work out. But this," she told him, holding up a piece of the garlic bread "this is delicious bread." She said dramatically.

message 20: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Her hand shot across the table and touched his cheek, Mason was tempted to lean into her palm, wanting to show that he enjoyed the gesture. It was too soon for all that though so he just looked at her as she spoke, then she leaned back and continued sipping her wine. He took another gulp of his own, maybe he should've asked for a beer instead. He rose a brow when she commented on the food, he agreed with her, salads were disgusting honestly unless his mama made them. Of course she always added all kinds of things, making it not so boring and healthy looking. "It is pretty damn good," He agreed before considering her some over his wine, if things kept going the way they were well he might just be taking her home later. Their food arrived moments later and he became very interested in the meatballs and spaghetti, he was kind of hungry.. He twirled his fork in the noodles and raised it to his mouth, then glanced over at Cat to see if she was digging in too or not.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat nodded in agreement to him, and even smiled some at him. He was looking at her, like he was thinking about something, and that something was almost, maybe, making him blush, just a little bit. But maybe it was just wishful thinking. She might've, maybe, been thinking about going home with him later, he was a surprisingly fun kind of guy. She wanted to go home with him. But then she felt a heat in his cheeks, and she just looked to her wine glass, at least it would calm her down. She took a sip of it, and while she was putting it down, their plate of spaghetti came. She smiled and picked up her fork, twirling some pasta onto it and watching as Mason slurped up a noodle. She laughed at him some, and put the pasta daintily into her own mouth. Once she finished chewing she rose a brow at him "You've got a little," she trailed off, motioning to her own chin, where on his, there was huge lump of red sauce.

message 22: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Mason swallowed his first bite then watched as she ate hers, it was so lady like and unmessy, he was honestly impressed with her finesse. Then she was pointing to her chin and saying he had a mess on his face, well he didn't have it down as well as she obviously. Not that he cared, he was a man, men were messy. Still, Mason did his best to find the sauce, he thought he got it since his hand came away with some sauce on it. He wiped his hand on a cloth napkin and then looked at her for approval, "Did I get it?" Mason tilted his head up some so that she would have a better look at the spot, though it kind of felt like there was more there, so he wiped in the general area again, but came away with nothing. Did that mean he'd gotten it all?

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat watched across the table with amusement in her eyes while Mason tried to get the sauce off of his chin. It was cute to her, but he wasn't fully successful. There was still a small smear of the red sauce just below his lip, and Cat shook her head. "Here," she muttered, easily reaching over the wine glasses and food on the table to reach his chin "Let me." She said softly, laying her finger against the spot and swiping it slowly away from his tan skin. Her own pale hand looked uncanny so close to his darker skin tone. Cat tilted her head to the side just a small bit, her gaze going straight to Masons eyes. He was even looking back at her, and the whole combination of eye contact and touching his was driving Cat mildly insane. She didn't want to move her hand away, but she had already gotten all the sauce from his face. It was on her thumb, but she didn't even seem to notice. She probably looked quite funny, staring at him like that, but she couldn't help it.

message 24: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Mason was proud of himself, he'd gotten it... or maybe not. Cat was all of a sudden leaning over into his very personal space and rubbing the sauce off his chin, his eyes watched her carefully the entire time. She didn't move back, or even wipe her hand off, she was staring right back at him like he was at her. Before either of them could think twice about it he closed the distance between them, his lips brushed hers, a hand reached up to caress her cheek as he more than brushed her lips, his lips moved against hers gently. Giving her the opportunity to pull back if that's really what she wanted, though he had the feeling that that was definitely not what she wanted, surely she had felt the electric pull between them like he had since they met? Mason was wrapped up in the moment, everyone, everything, it all melted into the background, no thought for anything else in his mind, not even the fact that some people might see him kissing someone that could be a potential student of his.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Cats constant staring only lasted for about a minute, because Mason read the signs. He could tell what she was thinking about, and soon he was leaning across the table and his lips were against hers. Cat pushed her lips back to his, kissing him a little more harshly than he was kissing her, he was being gentle, probably to give her the choice to back off. But she wasn't going to. Cat pressed her warm hand against the back of Mason's neck, bringing him closer to her over the table. She'd completely forgotten that they were in a restaurant, and that there were actual people around her, maybe even watching her, and that they had just gotten their dinner. It was the alcohol, probably, but Cat didn't care. She just kissed him back, letting out a dull squeak of delight at the feeling of it all.

message 26: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Lips were melded together, passionate kissing that should've made the scene rated Mature. Mason eventually had to pull back, his eyes went to Cat's lips, they were swollen with their kissing, he dragged his eyes up to hers, a mischievous grin crawled across his face. "I think we should take this somewhere else, where we maybe won't have an audience?" He knew they were in one of the more secluded spots in the restaurant but he honestly wanted her back in his own place, on his grounds. A waiter came up, Mason let go of Cat, regret in his eyes for having to let her go. "Um can we have a bottle of this white wine to go, and the bill?" He asked, never taking his stare from Cat. It was obvious that she wasn't really going to put up much of fight, she wanted this as badly as he did, or so it seemed at least. They could take another bottle of wine home, drink it in bed, make love, maybe fall asleep in each others arms. He could make her breakfast before school tomorrow... yeah it sounded like a great time to him.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat felt mason's lips pull away from hers and her brows knitted together in frustration. No, no, that's not what she wanted. She wanted his lips back against hers. When Cat finally opened up her eyes, Mason was dragging his green gaze back up to her brown one. He was grinning at her, that stupid rake. He was smiling at her like he had her on his fishing hook, and he was just feeling her in. Which, she supposed that he basically was. Cat started to smile back at him when he suggested taking it somewhere else, and that meant his place, and that brought a blush to Cats pretty cheeks. She started to giggle when the waiter came over and Mason asked for some wine to go, it was obvious on the guy's face that he was a little embarrassed to hear the request, but Cat was just looking across the table at Mason, biting down on her lip until the waiter left to complete his request. "I'm guessing we'll be heading to your place??" She whispered across the table, leaning in and pecking his lips.

message 28: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) The waiter left in such a hurry that Mason rose both brows at his retreating back before turning to look at Cat, she bit down on her bottom lip, making her all the more sexy. She touched his lips lightly with hers, "Yeah." He said in a distracted way, it was hard to concentrate when she was close, "I kind of wish we were already there," He admitted, that way he could really show what he was feeling right then. Instead they were in a restaurant, waiting for their alcohol to go. Mason made a mental note to offer to cook for her next time at his place, then they wouldn't have to go through this. Of course if she wanted to get out and go someplace he would. If they had other dates, which hopefully they would, but who knows with college kids? The waiter returned and left the bill and a wrapped up bottle of wine, he looked nervous as he scurried away. Mason had to drag his eyes away from Cat so that he could glance at the total and then pull some money from his wallet to throw on the table. He pushed the wallet back into his pocket, grabbed the wine with one hand and grabbed Cat's hand with the other as they headed out to get back to his truck.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Cat was so distracted, there was a completely obvious pull between she and Mason, and she couldn't even concentrate on anything else. She barely even noticed the waiter coming and going, she was just staring at Mason, a small smile drifting into her face. She grinned widely when he took her hand and practically pulled her out of her seat. The two were headed to the doors of the restaurant, and Cat couldn't help but giggle as they went. She followed him back to where his truck was before, happy for the fact that he remembered the way to it, because she certainly didn't. She couldn't even remember any reason to not jump into the bed of some guy who's last name she didn't know, she was too smitten. Once they reached Masons truck, he went to open her door, but Cat stopped him by pushing herself right ahead of him. She grinned up at him before laying her lips against his in the cool night air.

message 30: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Mason and Cat escaped the restaurant and ran down the street, smiles on both of their faces as they went. Some stares came their way as they went, hand in hand, Mason couldn't keep the silly grin off of his face, even if he tried. They soared around his truck and Cat pushed her hand against the truck door before he could get to it, then she was pushing herself against him and kissing him. Mason was still for a moment, she'd taken him by surprise, but he wasn't about to let an opportunity like this slip from his hands though. His hands went up to cradle her face, and his once still lips started moving against Cat's. The heat between them was palpable, Mason couldn't help but push her back, trapping Cat between him and the truck as they continued kissing. Some guys may have taken her then and there, in an alleyway, it was dark and secluded. It wasn't like just anyone would see them, but Mason wasn't just any guy and would not do that to Cat. Eventually, several minutes later to be sure, he pulled his lips back from hers just slightly. "Damn," He muttered and leaned his forehead against hers, he needed a breather after the makeout session they had just had.

Cat pushed her lips harder against his, trying to get him to react to what she was doing. He was standing still, but the he sprung into action. Masons hands started to touch her face, holding it carefully. Then he was pushing her against the truck, her back pressed against the cool metal. Masons body was up against hers, the heat radiating between them made a heat rise in her cheeks. Kissing him was passionate, and he tasted like the wine they'd been drinking all night. Cat's hands slid around his center and pulled her even further against him, so it would be hard to distinguish where one started and the other began. Mason pulled back though, after several minute, and Cat tried to breathe normally as she looked up at him. They were still extremely close, but she just wanted to be closer. She wanted to get out of the alleyway and to masons house so they didn't have to mess around with just kissing. He was still snug against her when she finally broke herself away "We have to get to your place." She whispered, opening the door of the truck to herself and squirming her way inside.

Leena (leena23) He couldn't agree more, if they didn't get to his place soon then he was going to break down and just take her in the back of his pickup truck, cliché away right there. "Yeah," He muttered and went around to his side of the truck as quickly as possible, he hopped in and started the big truck up, he backed out with a skill that showed how long he'd been driving. 12 years old, that was when his dad, er well uncle, no dad, well whatever, let him drive a truck for the first time on their ranch. He'd felt like a 'man' then, even though he was nowhere near being a man by then. He pulled himself from his thoughts and concentrated on the road back to his place, "I have a dog named Daisy, I'm only telling you because she may jump up on you when we first arrive. She's kind of friendly and hyper, but I'll try to make sure she doesn't nag you too much." Mason turned, almost there.

Cat half grinned when Mason showed that he definitely wouldn't be arguing with her, they were both drawn to each other on the same level. By the time Cat pulled the door shut behind her, her lipstick was smeared from all of Te kissing she and Mason had done. But it wasn't AWFUL, and she wouldn't really be thinking about it even if it was. She brushed some of her hair away from her face and leaned back in the seat when Mason entered the car and started it, she just turned herself on her side and looked over at him, watching his as he drove. He was concentrated, but at the same time distracted, probably by cat herself, the thought made her hold back a giggle. He started to talk about his dog, of all things, but she didn't mind, Cat loved dogs. She was never allowed to have them at either of her parents homes. Her dad said they were too much work, and mom was allergic. She let out a soft laugh "I don't mind, I love dogs." She told him in a soft tone.

Leena (leena23) Mason turned down a dirt road, and slowed down a bit, "Good." He replied with a grin, Daisy was non-negotiable, that was his main girl right there. If any chick didn't like her, then they had to go. Mason pulled into a driveway, his headlights lit up on what looked like was a modern barn. "This is it," He said and turned the ignition off. "I know it doesn't look like much, but its pretty nice on the inside. My dad and I did a lot of work to it," Mason got out of the truck and ran around the front so that he could get to the other side to open the door for Cat, he helped her out. Mason knew a lot of people judged the place before getting a look inside. He hoped that Cat wasn't one of those, he held her hand as they made their way up to the barn, muffled barking could be heard from inside. Mason chuckled just before sliding the barn door open to reveal the spacious, open home inside. Daisy came bounding out, she jumped on Mason first, and he gave her head an affectionate rub with his free hand, then Daisy went to Cat and nudged her leg as she sniffed, then Daisy disappeared inside. "Well, well, she likes you for sure," He said with approval in his tone, he led her inside.

Cat looked up at the house with bleary eyes. Her brown eyes roamed over it and she shook her head "It's adorable, looks just like the place you would live in." She told him honestly. Cat opened up the truck door and practically fell out of the cab, her feet stumbling over one another. She followed Mason up to the front door, paying attention to the wood on the old barn, it was charming, all too much like the man that she was following inside. Cat heard some barking from inside the house, and once Mason opened up the door, she giggled at the sight of some kind of pitbull mix running towards them. Daisy made it to Mason first, but after he gave her an affectionate pat on the head, she came straight to Cat. Cat smiled down at her "Hey Daisy," she muttered, rubbing her hand against the dogs soft fur. She looked up at Mason while still petting the excited little thing "She's adorable Mason." She said softly, her smile bright.

Leena (leena23) Mason was happy to see that Cat and Daisy were getting along, "She's a good pup. Her mom is back at the ranch in Texas, she comes from a long line of sheep dogs. Don't ya girl?" Mason bent down and pet her again for a moment before giving her the command to go to bed, off the dog went. Mason made sure Cat was in the barn before sliding the door shut and then he made a wide gesture towards the place, "Its open, I figured that would be the best plan with the space." The barn had an open floor plan, there was one small room towards the back, it was the bathroom, "Up above us is my room," He informed her, so she didn't think that he slept on the couch, there was a wide loft above them, and stairs to the side that would take them above. "You want me to open this wine up and pour us some?" He asked, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable or anything. He was going to get a beer for himself. Mason's eyes slid over Cat, she was slightly rumpled looking from their makeout session against his truck, but it just added to her sexy factor, and made him want to smash his place to bits with raw, passionate love making. Of course that would only take place if she wanted it as well.

Cat watched as Daisy scurried away from her at Masons direction. She went to her dog bed and laid down quietly, obviously Mason knew how to train a dog. Cat stood up straight while Mason started to gesture around the barn, explaining the layout. But he didn't need to explain it to Cat, she liked it already. She'd lived in flats and lofts her whole life, all houses charmed her, especially this one. It was rustic and beautiful and so homey. Cats eyes landed on Mason and she started to walk slowly towards him, he was wondering if she wanted something to drink, that was cute. She'd already had more than she should've, and she might've said yes, but there were other things in Cat's mind. She was finally up close to Mason, and she shrugged her slim shoulders. "If you want, but I think we should save that for later." She told him in a soft tone, looking directly up at him while her fingers drifted to the top button on his shirt, sliding over it to undo it. "But, whatever you want." She said again, teasing him some.

Leena (leena23) The look in her eyes was mischievous, and it made Mason's grin that much wider, she was a hellion to be sure. "Alright then," He looked down into her eyes, her hands were on his chest and going down, Mason all of a sudden found it a bit warm. The buttons were being unbuttoned on his shirt, so it wasn't like he'd be suffering for long. Mason put his strong arms around Cat's slim waist, pulling her tightly against him in all the right ways. "I'll take you for a tour of my bedroom," A mutter came from his mouth just before he hoisted her up over his shoulder like some sort of old school cowboy, honestly it reminded him of that old movie, seven brides for seven brothers, but there was no time to think about that. "Stay," He called over his shoulder to his dog, then he made his way up the stairs to his loft bedroom. He laid Cat down gently on his bed, reveling in her beauty, his shirt was open, revealing his chiseled abs and bare chest. "I think its time we get this party started," Mason winked at Cat just before shrugging his shirt the rest of the way off, leaving him in his jeans and boots.

Cat was soon being held tightly against Mason, her eyes staring up into his while he grinned down on her. His shirt was finally opened up, and his chest was amazing. It distracted her for a good while, and she was staring at his tan abs, because they were so pristine. Cat let out a loud squeak when she was lifted off of the ground, it was all very unexpected. She started to giggle while he carried her that way. "Mason!!! Put me down!!" She demanded in a happy voice, and then she was being laid gently down onto a soft mattress, and Mason was crawling over her, grinning down at her. "Mmm this party will be more interesting." She told him, feeling VERY hot. It wasn't the sort of "super seductive turned on hot", she was just really hot. But she pushed through it, since she was in the bed of the hottest guy she'd seen on the whole campus. So she flipped their positions, placing herself on top of him, straddling his hips. "So hot," she muttered to herself, tugging her dress off over her head. She was left in just her bra and underwear, and she leaned down, bringing her lips to his with her hands all over his chest and stomach.

Leena (leena23) Mason looked down at Cat, she was flushed, he figured it was just because of his bare upper half. He grinned when she flipped their positions, "Feisty." He wiggled his eyebrows at her as she started taking her dress off. The more skin that was revealed, the more Mason's eyes drank in. She was pretty much perfect, he saw no flaw whatsoever as his eyes roamed over her. She was soon leaning down and kissing him, her hands started roaming over his chest and then sliding further south. Mason kissed her back, his fingers moved lightly across the curve of her back, her skin was soft and smooth, her skin was quite warm to the touch. Mason pulled back slightly, concern etched into his fine features, "Are you feeling alright?" His question was a legitimate one, her pupils were wider than normal, her skin was flushed and warm to the touch. Something wasn't right, he hoped she wasn't coming down with something. Or maybe she'd drank too much?

Cat's curious hands roamed all the way down his bare skin, then crawled back upwards, reaching his neck and gliding softly across the skin there instead. He was an amazing kisser, and the light touches on her back cooled her down some, which she was thankful for, since she really wasn't feeling good at all. But she couldn't stop just the, right? Cat felt Masons lips pull away from hers and her eyes popped open, looking down at him with slight confusion. He just seemed to be worried about her, and as he spoke, Cat just wove a hand and nodded "I'm fine, I'm fine Mason I'm just drunk." She admitted. Cat was ready to just start kissing him again, to go back to where they left off, but then a wave of something hit her. It was some of the worst nausea she'd ever let, and she could feel it creeping up in her chests and throat. Cat looked down at Mason with wide eyes before clamping a hand over her mouth, and cloning off of him. She was going to hurl, and if she wasn't quick, she would be hurling all over Mason's very pretty, very charming home. Cat dashed towards the stairs and took the steps quickly, then made a beeline for the bathroom. She went straight to the toilet, and as soon as she'd opened up the lid, a wrenching sound filled the quiet air, and Cat kneeled down by the toilet, holding her red hair away from her mouth as she vomited .

Leena (leena23) She was just drunk, hmmm alright then, Mason went to try and kiss Cat again but her face turned completely white in the matter of seconds. "Whoa, what's wro-" He was cut off as she sprinted off of him and down the stairs, Mason got up to follow her. He was afraid that she was going to hurt herself on the stairs with the way she was running down them. She got down just fine though and flung herself into his bathroom, right to her knees to.. get sick. Oh joy, Mason felt bad for her. "Um," He felt at a loss for words, Mason looked over at Daisy who was staring Cat's way with concern. "Its okay girl, I'll take care of her," He whispered, Mason grabbed a washrag from a drawer in the kitchen and got it damp, he walked into the bathroom and set the rag by the sink as he knelt down to be right beside Cat. His expression was one of sympathy and understanding as he rubbed her back, murmuring things like, "Its gonna be okay honey bee. Just get it all out, you'll feel much better."

Even leaning down beside the toilet, Cat felt nothing but embarrassment. This was supposed to be a good night, a good time with Mason. And now she was ruining it by being sick. And over alcohol to top it all off, how much more immature could she get? She wanted to groan out loud, but she was...busy. She felt something change, though, when a cool hand was laid against her burning hot back. It was Mason, and he wasn't grossed out, he was trying to help her, trying to make sure that she was alright. She relaxed some, the muscles in her back unwinding just a little bit. Once Cat was sure that there was nothing left in her stomach, she sat up and pulled a tissue out of a nearby box, holding it to her mouth. "I'm so so sorry, Mason." She said in a quiet way, hoping he didn't think she was a regular sorority girl. "Do you, maybe, have an extra toothbrush?" She asked him, her brown eyes obvious with defeat.

message 44: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) The retching eventually came to a stop, Cat grabbed a tissue from the box on the countertop. Mason smiled gently, "Yeah I do actually. Family likes to randomly show up, and don't you know it, they always forget toiletries." Mason moved away from her for a moment to search under the bathroom sink for some things. He pulled out a toothbrush still in plastic, toothpaste(travel sized), a hair brush(brand new), and a bar of soap still wrapped. "Here, this should get you through," He offered her a lopsided grin before standing and helping her to stand as well. "Don't be sorry by the way, it was my fault. I kept asking them to refill our glasses. I should've taken it slow, I don't know what I was thinking. Why don't you get cleaned up some and I'll make you some hot tea?" His body was fairly close to hers, Mason wasn't afraid of her just because she'd puked, there was nothing wrong with that. He'd had similar situations many times when he was in college.

Cat gladly took Masons help to stand, she felt just a little bit shaky still, but so much better than she'd felt before she was just glad that the vomiting was over, and that Mason was being amazing about it. He started to rummage through a cabinet and pulled out some things that would make her feel even more like herself, and he was smiling at her gently, saying that it was his fault. Cat shook her head softly "I'm the one that kept drinking, but if you're ready to take the blame I'll totally blame you," she teased playfully, trying to feel more normal. Cat nodded easily about the tea "That would be great, just give me ten minutes." She said in a quiet manner, still feeling like an idiot. But as soon as Mason left, she got to work on brushing her teeth...twice. She felt like an awful BOMB of nastiness.

message 46: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Tomorrow's her first day, damn I feel terrible... maybe she'll be just fine in the morning? I hope so... I don't want to be the blame for her missing class, and its not even like I can be here to help her or anything because I have to teach first thing. Damn I'm an idiot, these thoughts were running through Mason's head as he left Cat to do her thing in the bathroom and he headed to the kitchen. The opening and closing of cabinets could be heard throughout the barn, as well as the clinking of cups, running of water, and the lapping of water made by Daisy as she drank from her bowl, eyeing Cat warily. Mason gave her a word of comfort and Daisy returned to her bed, Mason glanced toward Cat, she was finishing cleaning up it looked like. The kettle was on to boil, two cups with bags of tea in them sat on the counter waiting. No more tom foolery would be happening between them that night, Mason was going to care for Cat.

Cat brushed her teeth until they felt sanitary again, then brushed out her hair so all the knots and tangles were gone. She debated tying it up in a ponytail, but it seemed like a better idea to just leave it down. She was comfortable by then, and wasn't feeling the awful warmth that had bothered her before. After she finished everything up, Cat tidied up the bathroom, making sure it looked just as good as when she'd came in. She turned a small circle, trying to find something that would let her procrastinate some more, but nothing was there for her. She was embarrassed still when she walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen where Mason was waiting with two mugs of tea. He was being really sweet about all of this, but that didn't stop Cat from feeling like an idiot. Her cheeks where a light pink color as she leaned against the counter beside him, reaching for one of the mugs to occupy herself. She just wasn't sure how the rest of the evening was going to go, and her confidence has blown out the window when she'd run down the stairs. But she still smiled some at Mason, not sure of what to say.

message 48: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) The pitter patter of feet made its way to Mason as Cat came into the kitchen, she looked exhausted but much better than only moments before. Guilt shook him to his core, he still very much blamed himself for her getting sick. What kind of gentleman had he really been on their date? He winced slightly, yeah his mother would have killed him if she'd been around. Mason smiled back at Cat when she smiled weakly at him, "Feeling better?" He asked her with true concern laced in his tone, Mason was sure that the tea would help, it was Ginger, which was good for nausea. Its what his mom would always make him when he got sick, helped every time. The kettle started to whistle, Mason gave her an apologetic look and then turned to turn the stove off and removed the enamel kettle from the stove, he poured, very carefully, some hot water into her mug, and then some into his own. He then sat the kettle on the middle of the stove and turned back to where he was leaning against the counter and could look Cat in the eye as he sipped his very hot tea.

Cat saw guilt in Masons eyes as she stood by him in the nice kitchen. He was worried about her, and he was actually feeling bad about getting her so drunk. This was new. Cat had never dealt with something like that, the one date she went on that didn't go well in this sort of way was when the guy was trying to get her drunk, and that ended with the bartender calling a cab for her and making sure he got home okay. Cat fiddled with the teabag after Mason poured hot water into the mug, nodding just a little bit to him. "Yeah, I feel a lot better." She told him, taking a sip from the scalding water and let it warm down her insides. Cat glanced up at Mason, the only sound in the room was coming from Daisy, lapping at her water bowl. "Mason it's really okay, it's not like you were trying to get me wasted. You weren't being a dick, it was just a mistake." She said, sipping more tea as she looked across the way at him.

Leena (leena23) Things always happened around Mason, either good or bad. He hated that this time it had been bad, but he planned on making the evening up to Cat one day soon, very soon if he had anything to say about it. "Yeah well," He shrugged and looked her in the eye, "I should've been a bit better at paying attention. Anyhow, why don't we get you up to bed? I'll turn on whatever show you want and keep you warm. No funny business I swear, just cuddling and tv." Mason didn't offer cuddling to just anyone, hell he barely dated anymore, but he found himself looking forward to just getting into bed and lying next to Cat as they watched whatever show she picked out and fell asleep next to one another. I'm getting soft, and I'm not even old yet, He thought to himself, he held back a grin, yeah he was definitely one of the good ole boys.
