What books are you reading in this category? Where will you be browsing covers?

I wasn't even book shopping today, but a cover really caught my eye in the dollar store, so I picked up The Seven Rays by Jessica Bendinger. I picked it solely by its cover, so I'm anxious to see how it is!
I was at Target today and took pictures of all of the books I was interested in. Some I'd heard of and had reason for wanting to read, but some were strictly based on the cover.
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman - a .99c Kindle book - really caught my eye with its beautiful cover.
Again I changed my mind several times, but ended up reading "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" by Jamie Ford, and loved it so much, I put it forward for our next read at book club.
I read The Clockwork Teddy: A Bear Collector's Mystery. I love teddy bears and thought this one would be a good choice.
I think I'm going to find a book with a beach scene on the cover and read it at the beach this summer!
I planned on going to a bookstore and just picking a book out. But I saw this cover and for some reason, I just HAD to read this book. And some of my friends read it, and said it was so good. I know nothing else. It's just text, but the way it's positioned...I dunno. Great job on the cover, cover person!
My book club is reading Mary Coin this month, which is a fictional story based on a historic and well known photo.
I read Me & Emma for this prompt. The prompt on PopSugar says "A book based entirely on its cover". In the story Emma is a little girl with blond hair and blue eyes and that is what is on the cover.
I was browsing the shelves for some authors who'd fulfill multiple prompts when I came across Helen Oyeyemi, and while looking for another book by her I found The Icarus Girl on the shelf. The cover features a young girl holding fluffy white wings by her side as she walks in front of a graffiti wall. I love the story of Icarus and went with this one. I wasn't too enthralled with it, but I did choose it just based on the cover. The Icarus Girl
I read this:
I had already bought it because I was attracted to the cover, though I didn't know the author and there were no reviews.
And it could have been worse: brainless but entertaining.
Melanie wrote: "I read Me & Emma for this prompt. The prompt on PopSugar says "A book based entirely on its cover". Not sure what I'm going to read yet.
I read Dating the Devil
by Lia Romeo. This was a Kindle Daily Deal. The book was very engaging and a nice quick read.
I'm going to read Euphoria, I haven't read what the book is about or reviews so I will be surprised when I start to read it. The cover is beautiful.
I picked up The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton for this prompt. I don't really know much about it but I love the cover!
I read (actually audiobook)
Cybele's Secret, by Juliet Marillier Beautiful cover! Also narrated by one of my favorite narrators Justine Eyre. Another trilogy, so may switch as there are so many beautiful book covers these days!
I'm plannning on reading Anna Karenina for this one. I love the 2003 edition by Penguin Books with part of the Mrs Wilton Phipps painting by John Singer Sargent on the cover. That's one of my all-time favorite book covers - it's gorgeous!
I read Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson for this challenge. It has a very eye catching cover and I ended up really enjoying the story.
I went through my Kindle books (that I hoard, LOL) and found the cover I liked the most. It was Ghost Boy. VERY interesting true story. I hated the ending and where he chose to go with his life, but good books leave you thinking and talking, and this one did.
For years I've been fascinated by the cover artwork for the Picador edition of Graham Swift's Waterland. This prompt was a good reason to read it! A fascinating book, too.
Ok so I took this 100% literally. I downloaded an ebook just based on the title and cover. All I knew was title, cover and author. I didn't check length or read anything about it before reading it. Turned out to be a novella which I read in a couple of hours and was ridiculous. Oh well, it wasn't bad. It was The Island by Jen Minkman
For this prompt, I read
. I saw the cover in a goodreads ad, tbh, and couldn't get it out of my head. Interestingly enough, the charming raccoon on her cover is an artistic rendering of her taxidermy raccoon. The original plan for the cover was to have just the bottom half of his face, so the reader would look as though they were manically smiling, which I think would've also been great. The book itself I thought was just okay, but that is the risk you take when you pick something based solely on its cover.
Picked up The woman who dived into the heart of the world from the library today. Didn't look at anything but the front cover. Thought the title sounded interesting. Also works for my author with your initials prompt. And I've just discovered it was originally written in Spanish! Woohoo! Three prompts in one.
I read Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon.
It was gorgeous and perfect. I loved everything about it, including the cover.
I read
(The Monsters of Templeton), by Lauren Groff. It was much better than a book read entirely for its cover should be. Willie Upton returns to her hometown heartbroken and directionless only to find out from her mother that Willie was lied to for her entire life. Her mother has kept the identity of Willie's father secret from her for 26 years. Willie begins a research project to find her father. I did have a very strong feeling about who Willie's father was from about halfway into the book and who his relatives would turn out to be. Despite that, the book had several interesting stories that were wrapped up nicely in the end without a load of hanging threads.
