ABANDONED. Looking for the name of a book I read as a child

All of the characters were animals and the front of the book was about mothers, but if you flipped the book over to it’s “back” it turned into a book about fathers. The biggest reason I’m trying to remember it is because I think it had a recipe on some kind of bread or desert inside that I used to make with my parents. That could be from a different book, but for some reason I’m definitely correlating the two. If you could help me, I would be so grateful! Thank you
