I read this book about a year ago, I believe. I cannot remember what year is was possibly made (my guess is the book was made 2010s-2019). The book starts with a woman getting a divorce from her husband of a few years; he was somewhat wealthy and also an older man. She always wanted to have a child/family for a long time, but he never did. She also owns a maternity story that a lot of the “elite” women visit. Her best friend either half owns the store with her or is just a cashier (I cannot remember) After they were divorced (she got half of everything, if I’m correct), she went to a fertility clinic after talking with her best friend about wanting a child. When she meets the doctor, she’s shocked to learn her doctor was her high school sweatheart. They dated all through high school, but they broke up due to her brother not wanting them together (some girl from high school lied to her brother about her being pregnant with his child, and he didn’t want his sister to have a broken heart, so he forced him to break up with her and made him feel like he wasn’t good enough for her). They start talking again and their feelings are starting to come back. But the brother comes back in the picture and doesn’t want them back together.
