The scene where Dorian meets The Rook face to face and realizes who he is....your thoughts? Was it an emotional one for you?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I loved that scene. It would certainly be a shock to Dorian to find his friend was still alive.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Yes, their youth was completely ruined. What a shock that the real Dorian survived the mass grave and the lye....

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments It was a high point of the book for me, knowing that Dorian recognized him and was finally relieved of the guilt he had been carrying all these years for his death.

I LOVED this scene and it hit me emotionally. I had to rewind and listen to it again and then read it again in the eBook. I don’t think I’ve seen Dorian get this emotional before.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I loved this scene too. I had to back up the audio to make sure I heard it correctly...lol I agree that this was a very emotional scene. I was so glad that this gave Dorian the peace he needed.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I agree that it gave Dorian peace and it also lifted the burden of guilt he had carried all these years because he was the target and Ash ended up being the victim.

Great point!

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1811 comments A wonderful scene for both Ash and Dorian. It was interesting that Ash almost immediately put his trust in Dorian even though he still didn't remember him. It was almost instinctual memory.

I picked up on that, too. He most likely was moved by Dorian’s reaction to him.
