So sorry to hear that, Pammy Jo. And the lockdowns are worse than the virus for many people. 😥

The mayor of Boston said today that we're rapidly heading into another lockdown. Good thing for me I never really came out of the last one. Just saddens and frustrates me that I haven't been able to see my sister since March. Thankfully we text each other every day.

Joanna Pammy Jo, I just heard that the governor in PA has made a rule that people even have to wear masks IN THEIR OWN HOUSES?! Is that true?

Meg, it's a nice cozy night at home here. Just made a fresh pot of China Oolong tea. Forgot I had it.

Hi Pammy,
5000 new cases, that's awful.
The rise in Covid comes at the worst time.
I wish this were finally behind us.

Pamela | 2209 comments Meg wrote: "Pammy Jo, I just heard that the governor in PA has made a rule that people even have to wear masks IN THEIR OWN HOUSES?! Is that true?"

You must wear a mask in your own home if someone else is visiting, even for a short time, but not if it's just you and the people you live with. You must wear a mask at all other times as soon as you step outside your door, even doing yard work or going for a walk. If repair work, deliveries, etc. are being done inside your home, you must wear a mask. No holiday gatherings or any other gatherings, no dinner parties in your home, etc. Absolutely none. Police are going to drive around and enforce the rule if it appears a private gathering is taking place. They will fine people who don't obey. Visitors from other states must prove they have been tested and are clear, or they will be quarantined for 14 days. So far, schools in my county remain open, but in Montgomery County (5 miles from here) all schools are closed. Philadelphia schools are closed. It's really, really bad. Hospitals are so overwhelmed that they are diverting ambulances to other hospitals. I received word today that I can't have anyone accompany me to, or visit me if I have to go to the hospital. I am praying so hard that my health holds. Through all the past months, I followed orders and felt safe, but now I am scared. I dread even going shopping. I'm due for more bloodwork, but I am refusing to go at this time. It's very worrisome, to say nothing of the damage to businesses. Very, very sad.😷😪
Pammy Jo

Pamela | 2209 comments I forgot to add that hospitals will allow only one family member to be at the bedside of a dying family member. How very sad.

It is but you do what you can and find ways of staying in touch. Not the same as seeing each other in person and giving each other a hug though.

Al (retreadmaj) | 84 comments My (new!!) truck died on the way into work this morning. When the tow truck showed up, he wasn't going to give me a ride because of COVID restrictions, but since I was in uniform, he let me ride. The D.C. mayor is a power hungry Marxist.

Joanna I think I'm going to try growing some Japanese morning glories (Ipomoea nil) again this winter! The only problem is...the Bengals! 🐱😂 I'm going to have to do some serious juggling to keep the little seedlings out of their reach! And then probably put chicken wire over the soil in the pots because they will dig up larger plants. We'll see how it goes! I can't imagine life without my darling kitties, but I miss having flowers even in winter. 😊
