I'm not the kind of person that likes to complain or talk about the sad things in life, but I thought I would share something sad today that the cat lovers on here would understand. I got up this morning to find one of my cats had got hit by a car. A cat I've had for 6 1/2 years. I've had her since she was a little itty bitty kitten.

I've had some sickness in me that I didn't know I had, one of them being Lyme's disease. So I've went to a naturopathic to try to heal what's going on in my body, so it's working, but in the process, it makes me REALLY sick.

Good morning, Ruth! 🤗 That is an interesting quote from Sir Walter Scott! I've been trying to put my finger on just why I'm not a Jane Austen fan...I don't have anything against her writing style. I really think it's more because her stories are about genteel society life, while my preference is for adventure, historical romances, and nature writing. I did appreciate Fanny from 'Mansfield Park' because she was able to keep her simplicity and modesty even amongst her more worldly cousins. And I do intend to read more of Jane Austen's works eventually! 😊
