The fear of spiders runs in my family I guess...my dad used to work as a termite inspector in FL (before I was born). Can you imagine? One time he had to crawl into a dark attic, and by the light of the flashlight he saw a huge spider (Florida huge, not Maine huge!) on one of the rafters. He came back and told his boss about it and that he didn't want to go in there. His boss just laughed at him and said he could put on his report, "Area blocked by spider." He ended up having to do it!

Well actually one of our neighbors has shown us muddy bear prints on the side of her house before!

We've had our dumpster raided by bears twice. The first time they actually tipped the whole thing over, and it took my dad and me both to lift it up again! The weird thing was that we had the windows open and none of us heard anything!

We went to Gatlinburg, TN and saw a black bear and 3 cubs last time we were there! Since Gatlinburg had been closed for some time for Covid, the bears were starting to take over again! It doesn't take much for wildlife to take over!
There had also been a bad forest fire up there about three years back, and from that there were a LOT of bears coming into the town. They'd be roaming hotels, we saw one near a parking lot (closest we'd ever come to a bear encounter!! It was only about 15 ft from us!), my uncle had been followed by one, etc etc!!

But again, that was happening due to the fire. Encounters like that don't happen every day!!
