Jt, we do wish you well, and all the best on StoryGraph! Thanks for being a part of our group; you'll be missed. Kind thoughts and ongoing prayers!
Barb and I had been planning to go up to the Harrisonburg area over Memorial Day weekend to visit family. However, that plan fell through at the last minute, though we hope to go up for a short visit in July (and again in early August). So I'll be around for the rest of this month. But from June 15 until July 6, I'll be offline much more than online --we're expecting family from Australia to be here then, and I want to spend as much time with them as possible.
This month, I'd already expected not to be online much after June 14 (and on through July 6). But another glitch has now been thrown into the works. :-( This past Saturday, I installed a new home computer, with Windows 11 and (supposedly) a wi-fi capability; but its ability to link to the internet has been sporadic, and nonexistent since Sunday morning, so I've been unable to post much from home. (Right now, I'm at work, on lunch break.) I'm hoping this situation can be remedied soon.
Yay! Long story short, we now have Internet access with the new computer. The wi-fi function actually works all right now that we have the "antennas" (which came in the box) attached. (I didn't know what they were, and the unit didn't come with any instructions, so I had no idea that they played any role in Internet access.) The computer tech who was going to install an ethernet cable under the floor figured out the problem first, and so saved us a bundle. So, all's well that ends well! :-)
Yesterday, I hacked my bloated to-read shelf total (which I try to keep under 400) down to 380 books, by deleting all those that seemed intriguing years ago, but which by now I realize that I'm not really very invested in reading. (That was accompanied in some cases by a similar culling of my also bloated physical TBR piles; but luckily, I work for a library, so it's easy to make donations!)
On the other hand, I also have a LOT of books on my "maybe" shelf, some of which deserve promotion to the next level; and there are some more I've seen, on Goodreads or on the BU library shelves, that I know I'd like to read. So over the next day or two, I expect to have some fun filling out the to-read shelf again. :-) It's an endless process; but then, who would ever want his/her to-read shelf to be completely empty?

Moving helps with culling the physical books immensely. The digital weight means nothing in moving.
Wow, Rebecca, your 1,017-book total on your to-read shelf dwarves mine; I'm in awe! (May the Force be with you. :-) )
