Happy belated first day of Spring!! 😃 I hope everyone is having beautiful weather! Most years it's still quite wintry here but we're having glorious warmth this week! It was in the 50s today. I found a little patch of bare ground in the woods where I can sit and read or just watch the birds. I've got a couple hundred seedlings started already...petunias, heartsease, heliotrope, garden blackberry, castor beans, and tomatoes. That's just the beginning! Yes, Spring is my favorite time of year!! 😊

My glucose and blood pressure numbers have been off the charts, so I've been dealing with that and also severe pain. Trying to rest..."trying" is about as good as it gets at the moment. Has it been pretty warm there, Pammy Jo? We've been close to 60 the last few days! It's too warm for this early and we're about to pay for it. We're supposed to get an inch of rain Friday and then about 10 inches of snow Sunday...😣🤣🤣

Hi Meg!

It's raining, so the temperature will only be in the 50's today. Tomorrow and Friday it will be very warm, near 80 degrees, but then dropping 40 degrees by Saturday. Because of that, we are expecting thunderstorms and high winds on Friday...40+ mph wind! You know how I worry about that! I'm still not feeling well, so haven't been checking in here much. Hoping things improve soon.🙏

The snow melting this past week was probably the equivalent of 3 or 4 inches of water, and then we got another inch of rain yesterday. The wellhouse flooded Thursday afternoon and the basement flooded last night. Now we've got 4 inches of fresh snow and more coming tomorrow...this is why Mark Twain said that New Englanders kill a lot of poets every year for singing about "Beautiful Spring"! 🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

😳 My forecast for you, Meg: Spring may have sprung, but with more snow expected, it appears that Winter is still hanging on in Maine.😉 I am sorry to hear about the flooding up there. That's terrible! Rapid thawing is never good. Yesterday, the wind was terrible here. Today was beautiful, but tomorrow we are expecting storms, high winds, and a squall line which could produce thunderstorms with damaging straight line winds of 60+ mph. 🙏🙏🙏 Monday is looking like an extremely windy day, too. I don't ever remember such continuously severe weather. We could have record breaking cold for Maudy Thursday through Easter Sunday. The Easter Bunny will have a frosty tail this year! 🐇🌨❄🌬 Perhaps the Reindeer will have to help him deliver his Easter eggs and baskets this year!🐰🦌🍫🍬🍭

I hope everyone had a peaceful Easter. I went shopping today and found all of the Easter candy was 75% off! I loaded up on chocolate bunnies and chocolate peanutbutter eggs! 5 boxes!!! For me, candy is medicinal...I always have it on hand for the times my blood sugar drops too low. Really, it's far more comforting to think of candy as medicine, compared to all of my "real" prescriptions!😁😂🤣😃😄😅😆😉😊

I need candy!!! I'm in disbelief! I went out to bring in my recycling container and discovered colored lines painted all over my sidewalk. They were painted by utility companies and mark my gas line, water line, sewer line and phone line. It means that at least one of them is going to be digging up my property again! 😳 I spent months going through this with the gas company last year, but I have no idea what is going on now. I called the borough manager, thinking he would have been informed, but he knows nothing. I can't get answers from anyone! 😰 My blood pressure is through the roof again, even with extra pills! 🙏 How I want to run away!🏃‍♀️💨🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
