Oh, she's GOOD!"
Well thank you for the vote of confidence... π But while I do enjoy running, I'll have you all know that never EVER have I flapped my arms around while doing so! However...I'm not sure what assistant meteorologists make, but if it's even half of Pammy Jo's salary, I might be willing to learn! π€ͺπ€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£

I would need you to flap your arms in order to monitor wind speed and air density. That sounds good, doesn't it? So, does a salary of $75,000 per year sound good? If you are quite efficient with arm flapping, after 90 days I will increase your salary to $100,000 per year.ππ€£ππ€π
P.S. Did I mention that both of our salaries will be paid with Monopoly game money?βΊ

Well, $75,000 a year would be riches to me, so I guess I'll give it a try! π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
By the way, ice falling off the roof, breaking porch rails, and taking down electrical wires means it's Spring!! π³

The expected high temperature here today is 75 degrees! Cold temps are expected to return by the weekend, though. It's crazy! My head and my sinuses tell me Spring is in the air...and in my eyes, nose, throat, etc. π€§ Too drastic a change, too soon. I saw flies, ants, and even a bee this morning! π₯ππ₯ππ At least it feels more like the Easter season now.π It's my favorite holiday and my favorite time of the year!π°π£π₯π
One Easter when I was a little girl, my dog, πΆPoochie, and I got up before everyone and we snuck downstairs. I found my Easter basket full of goodies, took it behind a chair so I wouldn't be seen, and Poochie and I ate almost all of the chocolate candy before anybody woke up. I put all of the wrappers back in the basket, thinking nobody would notice the missing candy! I thought wrong! After being yelled at, Poochie and I got so sick that we spent Easter in bed that year! Who would think an entire basket of candy could make a person sick? π I never did that again!π€’ Is it any wonder I became diabetic???π€

π Wonderful! I wonder how many places take Monopoly money, though? π€π€£
Wow, that is summer weather!!! I'm sure you are enjoying it! π€ It's 46 here today... I was just out working without a coat and was actually a little hot! And I saw 2 mosquitoes! The bugs are really hardy up here. I once saw a live spider crawling around in an ice pocket during a January thaw! π³
Oh my, that would give anyone a stomach ache!!! π€’π€£π€£

I don't think many places take Monopoly money, but I don't think many meteorologists rely on a rock to predict weather either!ππ€£πππ

Thank you! ππ€£ I discovered that interesting bit of information when I had to go out to the mailbox because it had fallen off the post, and I had to fight to get to it. Felt like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, fighting the wind from the tornado! π€£

I just got home and will finally settle in for the night. A crazy day which only found me home for short times. I'm so tired.π΄π΄π΄ I'm too old for all of the running around I did today, but I got great deals on whoopie pies and sticky buns! I always keep sweets on hand for when my blood sugar plummets, which it has done for the last few days. Thankfully, my kitty wakes me up if it's too low. I'm still amazed by how she knows that it's low!

Hi Emma! I'm good. How are you? I miss the times our group was more chatty. I've been busy running errands since I can finally get my car out the driveway. We were snowbound for a long time this winter. Our neighbors were great and did our shopping for us, but I like to go to the store myself. If there are good sales and other deals, I don't always shop with a list and there's no way for our neighbors to know the little, odd items we would pick up if we do the shopping. I'm staying home today...reading and watching Hallmark mysteries on tv. Tomorrow, we're "supposed" to have good weather, but the rest of the week we're expecting snow, ice and rain every day.π I expect to get out tomorrow. My body will need to adjust to the time change. I wish they would keep one time all year! I don't like Daylight Saving Time, as I prefer it to be bright in the morning rather than later in the day. I am a morning person.ππ₯π³βπ

I'm doing pretty good! π€ I miss them too!! Maybe we can get back to that sometime! π That's good that you were able to get out! I've been out all day, and it's been nice just to get some fresh air! It feels like I've been cooped up a lot this winter. π Which I don't mind too much...π Yeah, I don't like Daylight Savings Time either. π You finally get used to the time, and they just change it on ya again!! π€£

That's interesting! I'll have to look into that when I have more time!

You say what you mean and you mean what you say! LOL!!! I'm the same way! "Spell Check" features irritate me. I often talk to my tablet and tell it "No! That's not the word I want!" I don't like being told what to do...especially by an electronic device!π€¨πππ€£π

*My cats are the only ones who get away with bossing me around! They know it, too!ππ±ππ

One time a friend texted me and asked what I'd been doing in my garden lately. The phone thought it knew everything I guess and suggested that I reply, "Absolutely nothing!"...which was NOT true! π²π€£π€£π€£π€£

I'm not a superstitious person and don't care if a black cat crosses my path, I'll walk under ladders if I need to pass them, and Friday the 13th doesn't bother me.
However, I fear The Ides of March. Historically, in my family, March 15th has been a very bad day. On this date, many of my friends and family members have passed away, I've lost beloved pets, and there have been many serious accidents in my family. I dread this day more than any other and I stay at home, won't travel anywhere, and am relieved when the day ends. Midnight tonight can't come soon enough! When I was working, I always took a Personal Day on March 15th. I suppose it's strange, but I really do dread it.π

Thank you, Meg! I really do feel uneasy every year on this date.
30 below wind chill! π²π³ We had 50 mph winds for hours yesterday and overnight, but our temps aren't that cold, just in the 20's. It's going to be a rainy week here, after today, but our snow is gone now. Temps went up into the 70's last week, so melted the snow. I'm glad it did or we would have flooding this week.
You have your own well, don't you? A drought is very worrisome then. We have municiple water here. The only time we're without it is if a water main breaks or they flush the fire hydrant system. A few years ago, the local fire company caused all of the municiple water tanks to go dry...They had a regular meeting night, it was in the Summer and very hot, and they were playing water games all night to cool down. They got into quite a bit of trouble over it!ππ¦ππ¦ππ¦β(my way of saying "DINGBATS!")πππ€£ππ

When I was in high school in the 1970's, we had one bomb threat which was called in early one morning. We were already in class, so we were evacuated. They got us out, but lined us up right next to the school building! That's where we remained for several hours while the bomb squad searched the building! Smart move! If the building would have blown up, we all would have gone along with it! Again, I say...ππ¦ππ¦ππ¦β Times have surely changed! It turned out to be a prank back then and we returned to class. One of the students didn't want to take a scheduled test that day! Another smart move! Sadly, today all threats must be taken seriously.

Wow, that is terrible! Sometimes I wonder what this world is coming to, with everything that's going on. I'll be praying for you today, Pammy, especially!

School is closed again today due to another threat. It's getting ridiculous!π³
Have a good day and...Please behave!π€π€π€ππ€
