How distressing! I am so happy your aunt and
uncle came through it, what more can one say,
than Thank God! May they remain in good health
and happiness for many years to come.
What a sweet reunion for you.π
I expect it's hard for your cousin to be so far away
from parents as they're getting older. I wish him
much success in his new job.

Homemade Fastnachts Bliss!
π-We are so far away from everything!
It would take the will power of a man of
steel not to snatch a few from the first
batch, I don't practice gluttony, but will
gladly make an exception. I am glad you
were able to run your errands for Shrove
Tuesday. I take it you may not attend church
Ash Wednesday?

We are supposed to have another Doozie of a snowstorm on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. That being the case, I don't know if I'll be able to get out for Mass and my ashes, or not. I do have supplies at home for the Eucharist (communion), but I don't have ashes. I'll watch online if I can't get out. Since the pandemic, they have online Mass every day, but offer limited in-person Mass, too. As far as the ashes go, maybe I'll dust in the corners and use that on my forehead!π Surely it would be okay if some cat hair is mixed in. God created cats, too!ππ ππ
I am so weary of snow and ice.π€βοΈ

P.S. Gluttony is what "Fat Tuesday" is all about, isn't it? Eat everything in sight before fasting!ππ€

risky for you to go out, we rather you stay safely
at home. Sorry it has been so trying with ice and
snow.
Haha! Dust and cat hair? You're a hoot!
Exactly! I don't practice Shrove Tuesday, but
one has to start somewhere.ππ
By the way, I found a new movie companion
for you.

The kitty is adorable! Today has been a trying one and that photo lifted my spirits! It's one of those days when I would love to tell people "Leave me alone. I don't have time for you. I have plans with my cat!"πππ ππ

It's ok. π Still not feeling the greatest, but it could be a lot worse!
Yes, we will! We will be VERY busy...π΄π€£ We don't have any names picked out yet...a lot of them are already reserved, so they just name them. π Do you have any name suggestions?

Those are from A City of Bells. I haven't gotten far enough into Gentian Hill to have any name suggestions from that. The only character I have had any real acquaintance with in that one is Anthony, whose name was changed to Zachary.

Aww! Those are some adorable names, thanks for the links! Hmm, I don't know, there's a lot of cute ones. I like Aurora, Eleanor, and Rowan a lot!

I agree, they have a good selection of names,
I like the ones you chose.

I AM so glad that I was able to get my car out yesterday to run errands. The most important thing on my schedule was picking up homemade Fastnachts for Shrove Tuesday. I have never NOT had them in all of my 58 years. We had to freeze them this year so we still have them on Tuesday. Never had to do that before, as we always picked them up from the baker on the Monday just before Shrove Tuesday. Anyway, I'm so pleased I could get out for them! Fastnachts are a big deal in PA Dutch country! They are so good, too!πβΊπ
Wishing everyone a peaceful Thursday!
