I plan to stay indoors, read and work on my Bible study. Our school district is one of only three that are open. Nearly 200 other schools in surrounding areas are closed. We are so fortunate to have a district full of Dingbats! Our tax dollars are going to good use!👎

The squirrel chat, I have issues my
two imposing neighbors. It's funny
how they freeze when they see me,
no pun intended. 😾🐿🐿
One afternoon, I stepped out into
the back patio with a small bag of
chips and frightened one of them hiding
behind a fence; it was transfixed, some-
where between fear and what are you
eating. I had put a line and tied it to a
tree, they cut it down, twice! The third
time I slathered it Vicks Vaporub and
doused it with cayenne pepper.

of a pot of soup, apple pie, tea/coffee/

Okay, fellow N.E.L.ers,As most of you know, Emma and Dorothy
has a theme for profile pictures- presently
it's an owl.
We thought it would be fun to contribute ideas
for them- passing the cap around as it were.
Once all ideas are collected, we'll mix up the
themes, list them by number which they will
choose and find out whose entry it was.
My ideas are:
1. lighthouses
2. green and white theme
3. Mystery- guess my favorite...
(monument, hobby, character, hint on
next read, book I wish I had written, etc)
4. cottage
5. orchards/filled bushels
6. old-fashioned bicycles

That is so cute, Ruth! It's wonderful to have you back with us! Loved your comment about a snowy day! I have been drinking tea, watching mysteries on TV, reading, and I AM wearing my pajamas and my polar bear slipper socks, curled up on the sofa with my cats and covered with my favorite afghan, crocheted by my beloved Nana. Plus, I'm having homemade chicken noodle soup for supper later!😊🤗

Our wonderful neighbors, Zack & Renee, gave us a gift card from a Polish food store/restaurant in the local farmer's market. Everything is homemade and they even have Polish gifts...clothing, pottery, etc. Anyway, my mom and I are going to get some homemade pierogies, babka, and a few other things. It made me smile when you said you will bring pierogies! When shall I expect you? The market is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Beware...if you stop by, you will have a cat on your lap for the duration of the visit!😁

🤣🤣 Oh no, it's not really a problem. The worst thing they've ever done is raid our dumpster a couple times. But this was shortly after we'd moved here and having bears around was still somewhat of a novelty...

Before moving to Texas, we lived in Florida and
there we had :
- electric storms where lightening actually danced
in the living room- we had to hid out in the hallway,
- alligators crossing the road or lying on it, at the airport
or in a neighborhood near you,
- moccasins in close proximity whilst swimming,
just to name a few horrid experiences.
For these reasons, my sister finds Ireland agrees
with her.

Apparently Dipsy and Doodle did know what day it was. They tried to get in my back door late yesterday. Perhaps they were expecting that I was going to have a party for them!😄 I had to spray my back steps with vinegar to keep them away. I read that they don't like that odor. I sincerely hope there is no Black Bear Appreciation Day, as I don't know how to keep THEM out of the house!🐻😲😁😂🤣😃
