It makes me think of a song I sang with my Kindergarten class...

"Goin' on a bear hunt!
Gonna catch a big one!
We're not afraid!!!"

Every time I sang that with them, I used to think~If Miss Pammy ever really went on a bear hunt, she WOULD be afraid! VERY afraid!!! LOL!!!

New Years greeting

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.

Ring out the grief that saps the mind,
Ring in redress to all mankind.
With sweeter manners, purer laws.

Ring out the want, the care the sin,
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.
Ring out the darkness of the land,
Ring in Christ.
- Alfred Lord Tennyson (adapted)

Yes, it is fun to do! 😊
🀣 I should make me some coffee or tea, I haven't had any. It's a good idea though. πŸ˜ƒ I tend to just drink water and don't ever think about drinking anything else. πŸ˜‚ I'm trying to catch up on some reading. 😴 Quite behind!

And yet, another bear! I wonder? Is 2021 the year of the bear? I think I recall reading it is the year of the ox, but I'm not sure. Nevertheless, it seems to be the bear around here! LOL!!!

Give it time and she will have a bear skin

I'm glad you are doing good, especially
with winter's abundance. Yes, I have used
leaves for mulch. In this case there were
far too many leaves to find the ground.

A couple of years ago my mother and I
were clearing out a considerable amount
of leaves when we ran out of bags. My
mother found a tarp to cover a long
pile of red and orange leaves, unfortunately
the tarp was black and created the effect
of a grave on the front side of the house.
This had a surprising effect on pedestrians
as they cleared a corner of shrubs and
recoiled at the sight and site of a "grave".
