At the start of the story, we learn that The Rook is actually the real Dorian Blackwell. Did you see that coming? If so, what tipped you off?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments We knew that The Rook had some connection to Newgate and Dorian Blackwell since he mentioned it in the previous book. I was kind of surprised that he turned out to be the real Dorian since we were told he had been murdered years ago.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Me, too. I thought the Rook was another illegitimate brother, especially since they could have been mistaken for twins.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I kinda suspected that the real Dorian wasn't dead, but I was surprised that Dorian turned out to be The Rook. Then I thought, Of Course that makes perfect sense.

I was floored, was thoroughly convinced that the real Dorian was dead because his friends helped bury him! Never saw it coming.

I think this might still be true as we do not learn who Ash's father is. It could have been Hamish Sr.

Me either! I was totally surprised as I thought it was Cole's brother. Color me shocked!

Huh. That’s great food for thought, Lauren.
