I think you should read Harry Potter first, as its books were best. Hunger Games next. I enjoyed the first two books in the Divergent series but hated the final one and I know I'm not the only one who felt that way, so be careful with that one. The movies of that one ended very differently from the books.

Sorry if I’m late lolThe Jess Tennant series is great. It’s a mystery with a side plot of romance
Divergent is always great
The Asylum series. It’s horror with some romance on the side
I just started The Iron Fey series and it’s amazing. Fantasy with romance
Tell me if you need more recommendations
Personally, the Red Queen series is actually what got me back into reading after a two-year hiatus. I would highly recommend that one. I would also suggest the series Uglies by Scott Westerfeld and Ranger’s Apprentice by John Flanagan.
Read the Diviners series by Libba Bray. You wont be disappointed. it's fun, spooky, ghostly, unputdownable and in the heart of old century New York.
Late to the party I know haha but I definitely second the Percy Jackson suggestion,. And if that series is your thing then there’s the Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo series. Percy Jackson has definitely helped me to temporarily replace Harry Potter :)
The Selection & The Hunger games are two series that always get me out of a slump. But the Grisha Trilogy is good too!
A Darker Shade of Magic Series by V.E Schwab was my remedy to a reading slump :) it’s a massively underrated book series which I would recommend to anyone who is stuck on what to read next
Hush Hush is a really good series. I swallowed it whole. Four books in three weeks. I highly recommend it if you’re into fantasy and romance, with a lot of actions and adventure. Happy reading! :)
The Shatter Me series. is amazing .
I agree Hush Hush is a fantastic series! I would highly recommend reading it if you haven’t already!
Please suggest a good standalone book / book series (At least 3/5 stars read) that features both male and female witches forming parts of different covens like The Secret Circle series, preferably having important male characters. The main characters must be straight if there is any romance at the centre of this novel(s).
YA fantasy and contemporary: the shadowhunter chronicles, the lunar chronicles, the folk of the air series, an ember in the ashes series, the grishaverse, selection series, hunger games, the princess diaries, to all the boys, ruby oliver series, beautiful creatures, MG: a series of unfortunate events, percy jackson series, heroes of olympus series, harry potter series, anything by enid blyton, artemis fowl, keeper of the lost cities
off the top of my head that's all i've got! hope it helps ;)
