Lynne Stringer | 137 comments I think you should read Harry Potter first, as its books were best. Hunger Games next. I enjoyed the first two books in the Divergent series but hated the final one and I know I'm not the only one who felt that way, so be careful with that one. The movies of that one ended very differently from the books.

Thanks Lynne for the suggestion. I will take that into consideration. :)

lllzreads | 236 comments Sorry if I’m late lol

The Jess Tennant series is great. It’s a mystery with a side plot of romance

Divergent is always great

The Asylum series. It’s horror with some romance on the side

I just started The Iron Fey series and it’s amazing. Fantasy with romance

Tell me if you need more recommendations

mckayla (woahlee) | 6 comments Personally, the Red Queen series is actually what got me back into reading after a two-year hiatus. I would highly recommend that one. I would also suggest the series Uglies by Scott Westerfeld and Ranger’s Apprentice by John Flanagan.

Tina | 43 comments Read the Diviners series by Libba Bray. You wont be disappointed. it's fun, spooky, ghostly, unputdownable and in the heart of old century New York.

Barbara (culobarbara) | 15 comments Harry Potter is a must read... you can also read Percy Jackson

Lacey | 22 comments Late to the party I know haha but I definitely second the Percy Jackson suggestion,. And if that series is your thing then there’s the Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo series. Percy Jackson has definitely helped me to temporarily replace Harry Potter :)

Kalena | 1 comments The Selection & The Hunger games are two series that always get me out of a slump. But the Grisha Trilogy is good too!

message 10: by George (new)

George | 2 comments A Darker Shade of Magic Series by V.E Schwab was my remedy to a reading slump :) it’s a massively underrated book series which I would recommend to anyone who is stuck on what to read next

message 11: by Summer (new)

Summer (summersbookology) Hush Hush is a really good series. I swallowed it whole. Four books in three weeks. I highly recommend it if you’re into fantasy and romance, with a lot of actions and adventure. Happy reading! :)

message 15: by Anuj (new)

Anuj | 1 comments Please suggest a good standalone book / book series (At least 3/5 stars read) that features both male and female witches forming parts of different covens like The Secret Circle series, preferably having important male characters. The main characters must be straight if there is any romance at the centre of this novel(s).
