Read this around 2012. The main aspect of the book I remember is the background of the cover of the book was white and I believe the title was long. I remember a point in the book where one of the teens has to climb through the vents in a specific pattern and they have to remember which way they are going.

maybe The Girl Who Could Fly by Victoria Forester? I believe they crawl through a vent or an elevator shaft near the end of the book.
Think I remember one of the Shadow Children books having a character crawl through vents, but no clue which one.
