Christian adult fiction. First read in the late 80s-early 90s. My friend gave me this book but I keep loaning it out and not getting it back; I always think I will remember the title but I don't so it's hard to replace. A single Japanese Christian is in need of a wife. He finally meets a lovely young woman who is also a Christian (rare in Japan) and although she is handicapped they fall in love and plan to marry. A series of events leads to a train accident and the death of Nobuo. Beautiful story.
