I am looking for a stand-alone fantasy novel that has the word 'phoenix' or the phrase 'and the Phoenix' in the tile. It would be printed in the 70s or 80s. North American publication.

No, I don't remember much, it was 40 years ago and just remember it was i a long line of books helped fuel my insatiable love of fantasy. Sorry.

The novel would have been for adults, not at the YA level.
