Dee (austhokie) | 897 comments is it ok for authors of an anthology to request books within a series be removed from the record?

I added 2 series to Snowy Days, Steamy Nights: Come in from the Cold - misfit brides of bliss and The Glendale Riptide Series - but they have since been deleted and a note added that they had been deleted at the authors request but if they are part of a series, then that should be reflected right?

If the series information is correct, it should be reflected in the series record and thus on the series page.

Edit: However, it does not need to be added to the title line, and for anthologies doing so can become very unwieldy.

Dee (austhokie) | 897 comments thanks Rivka - I'll go ahead and fix that and put a note about it

I already added a note. And please also see my edit above.

Dee (austhokie) | 897 comments i didn't have it in the title line - but the problem is that if there is more than 1 series included, only 1 is showing in the title line

it should be all or nothing - i've posted in feedback, but crickets

Dee (austhokie) | 897 comments hey Rivka - now that I've added as non-primary works - only 1 series is showing in the title - not both of them (even though both are in the title block of the record)

That is a limitation of the series system and not likely to change any time soon.

And I removed the series data from the title line. That part is optional.

Dee (austhokie) | 897 comments i remember it used to show all of them when it was first introduced...

I am quite certain that it never showed multiple series at the top of the page. I was involved in testing the feature before it went live.

Dee (austhokie) | 897 comments that was part of the issue from the authors (from what i gauged) - that only 1 series was showing and it made them feel like a) people may get confused that all the books were part of the series (which they aren't) and the b) only 1 series shows in the title which makes other series contributions feeling neglected/ignored (even if programed in to the series stuff)

I moved the series that appears to belong to the first story to the top position. But yes, only one series will appear at the top of the page. All of them show up in the more detail section.

Most importantly, it means the book shows up on series pages, which means readers looking for pieces of the series should be able to find it.
