One of my other Goodreads groups is reading this in January, but I will join the discussion over here, too, probably - if that's ok. It will still be fresh in my mind then. Just started it today. The only thing I'm not excited about is the 600+ page hardback that's hard to hold up! But hey, a bargain at Barnes & Noble is still a bargain!

This is seriously one of my favorite books of all time, I'm completely obsessed with it. I don't know if I'll have time to sneak in a re-read with all my other challenge reads but I'm going to try. I didn't have anyone to chat about it with the first 20 times I read it!

I started this, I don't normally read horror, but thought I'd expand my genre horizons ;)

Wooooo. I've been looking for something where I have the book and haven't yet read it. Count me in :) Starting in an hour and 34 minutes as it's not yet the 9th here...jumping the gun a bit

     It's 6 pm on the 9th here. :)
It's 6 pm on the 9th here. :)I'm having a bit of trouble keeping track of all the characters - but it's a fascinating story so far - with some very funny one liners.
I'm in the middle of Chapter 16 & am listening to the audio, which has a fabulous narrator.
I also love the narrator, the names will come to you soon, I think on general it's harder to keep track if names with audio :)

Is there any time frame on this read? I have a feeling I will be finishing behind many of you as I have a lot on my plate atm.

Got the ebook and read the first few chapters last night. Long book, short chapters. Very intrigued so far at where this is going. I feel like Joe Hill is more intense than his dad when he brings the horror. The name Christmasland already freaks me out... something tells me it's not what it seems :)

Book Synopsis:
NOS4A2 is a spine-tingling novel of supernatural suspense from master of horror Joe Hill, the New York Times bestselling author of Heart-Shaped Box and Horns.
Victoria McQueen has a secret gift for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. On her Raleigh Tuff Burner bike, she makes her way to a rickety covered bridge that, within moments, takes her wherever she needs to go, whether it’s across Massachusetts or across the country.
Charles Talent Manx has a way with children. He likes to take them for rides in his 1938 Rolls-Royce Wraith with the NOS4A2 vanity plate. With his old car, he can slip right out of the everyday world, and onto the hidden roads that transport them to an astonishing – and terrifying – playground of amusements he calls “Christmasland.”
Then, one day, Vic goes looking for trouble—and finds Manx. That was a lifetime ago. Now Vic, the only kid to ever escape Manx’s unmitigated evil, is all grown up and desperate to forget. But Charlie Manx never stopped thinking about Victoria McQueen. He’s on the road again and he’s picked up a new passenger: Vic’s own son.
