My name is deb and I'll be the moderator for this group from the Moorhead Public Library. I've been a part of Classy and Trashy (and the previous group, The Classics Book Club) for at least 6 years, maybe longer. One of my favorite series is the Meg Langslow series by Donna Andrews (the audiobooks are getting added to our Overdrive collection, so check them out!).
Hi! I'm Karen. I've been part of this group since it started as the Jane Austen Book Club, then changed to The Classics Book Club and now as Classy and Trashy. One of my favorite books is Pride & Prejudice (there's a free premiere of a new musical version of P&P on Friday that I could get the link for if anyone is interested). But, I'll also mention the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon (since I lead the Outlander Book Club at the library).
Hi! I'm Kathy and I've been a part of this book club for 1 year. I always say my favorite book is the one I'm reading right now! Seriously, I like historical fiction, nonfiction, and new releases. I prefer to read a variety of authors and not stick with one author or series. I also enjoy children's and teen literature since I have 8 grandchildren whom I love book talking with.
My name is Dorothy, and I'm actually Deb's sister, so I've been hearing about this book club for years even though I've never been to it. I live in the Twin Cities now, but thought I would check it out while you're online. My tastes are pretty eclectic - I'm a history teacher, so I end up reading a lot of nonfiction - mostly history, current events and education books. I also enjoy a good fluffy romance novel for escape. I especially like ones in a series where you get to see what happened to the characters after the book ended. I've never gotten super into mystery, other than Faye Kellerman's Decker series, but enjoy an assortment of fiction authors when I find enough time.

Welcome to Classy and Trashy! Check out the Readers' Salon if you want to post anything about current reads/see what others have been reading. And if you have time and the inclination, we're discussing Ann Patchett's The Dutch House for May.
