Announcement: Combine/Separate will be down temporarily

Since the holidays are often times when our servers get much higher traffic, we are implementing some temporary measures to reduce the strain. Most of them will be invisible to you, but one will affect librarians. The ability to combine and separate books will temporarily be turned off starting the afternoon of December 24, and will be re-enabled the evening of December 26.
(All dates Goodreads Standard Time, aka Pacific.)

I just applied to be a librarian so I could combine a book heh (I created a separate book page for I didn't know any better)

I am no longer getting "combine temporarily unavailable" message . . now seems like my problem has more to do with extra spacing in author name (KC Leigh vs K C Leigh) OR I am showing as author for Kindle version . . . but can't edit my profile for Createspace version (perhaps I have two profiles?) .....help!! Ta :)

6 An extra spaces indeed puts a book on a different profile. I moved it to your profile. But it has nothing to do with the issue of thread.

I'm not a librarian yet (if I consider I'll ever be accepted), so even if the combine feature is working, I wouldn't know. So, when that happens, please warn me in this thread. Thank you!
