Alex Villasana (alexvillasana) I'm considering writing my own Web app to compare BBC's Sherlock with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original work. I want it to be more like a note-taking app. I want it to encourage sharing, discussion, and be of practical benefit for everyone who participates.
Of course, if this app (code name 221B) ever sees the light of day, it would be free for everyone who participates in its development.

So, what features would you like to see in a Web app like this one?

Awesome idea!
I don't know if this is possible or feasible, but it would be very cool to have the scripts from the BBC series, and hyperlinks from details back to the original Conan Doyle stories. So to use my previous example of departures taken by the current series, the first time Sherlock asks Watson for his cell phone and says "I prefer to text," it would link back to the first time Holmes in the canon sends a telegram.

Conversely, the canon stories could be listed in order, and if you click on one of them (say, "The Sign of the Four,") it would list all the authors who have written pastiches of this story.

It is a huge task, but if it is like Wikipedia, users could add to the body of knowledge.

Good luck with this venture; I would use it all the time!
