I have really been enjoying this series. Chet and Bernie crack me up, they are such a great detective team. Sometimes Bernie is the brains of the operation, sometimes it's Chet. As usual, this is told from Chet's perspective, which is always interesting. Did I mention that Chet is a dog? In this case, the team is looking for a missing elephant. Yes, an elephant that has disappeared from a circus. Peanut and her trainer disappeared, and the trail takes Chet and Bernie into the Southern California desert and into Mexico. As usual they are surrounded by larger than life and interesting characters. This book will keep you entertained from start to finish, and provides more than a few laughs. A fun story with a satisfying ending.

So many great quotes in this book! I just love Chet the Jet. He has to be one of my favorite literary characters.
