Zsuzsa Kutron (kutronzsuzsa) A Feast for Crows is the forth volume of George R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series, and as I am a huge fan of the books, I am very excited about this one too. The storyline is very complex and for me it's like time travelling to a different world. If you have already read it, please feel free to share your thoughts about it.

Peter I found this one the slowest paced book of the series, but I think it was mainly due to the POV characters in the book. Many of my favourites were left out as POVs in this book, but return in the next one. The writing is just as good as the others, I just found some of the plot lines seemed to slow down a lot in this book. Still good, and definitely fleshes out a lot of the complex alliances/politicking. I found the glossary useful because there are a LOT of characters in the series, and this book focuses on a lot that have only played minor roles or have only been mentioned. I also found this website useful for refreshing my memory on past events in the series: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/...

Be warned though: Be VERY careful reading on that site if you don't want spoilers. It's easy to accidentally read something you may now know about yet.

Taylor (amateursuperhero) | 66 comments I'm currently reading the first book in the series. I hope I enjoy it and can eventually catch up to you!

Bana AZ (anabana_a) | 414 comments I love all the books of this series. The POV jumps can be frustrating because it leaves you hanging for a while until you get to that character again, but it's worth it.

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments The different POVs is one of my favourite things about this book series, I like knowing that if I don't like the current character another one I do like will crop up soon. But I agree that it can be frustrating when your favourite character is only in the book for three chapters and your least favourite gets eight, hehe.

Peter I like the POV switches too. I really like the way events are often presented from a characters perspective who has gotten information third party or is was not directly involved in the event. I found he does this really well in the third and fourth books, where you get pieces of information that foreshadow and drop hints but its not always accurate and then a few chapters later you read something from a POV that was directly involved and get a different view of the same event.

Nicole Adrienne (nicoleintrovert) I am doing this one on audiobook. Roy Dotrice is a fantastic narrator.

I like the POV changes as well... and can't wait for the next Arya chapters to pop up. (I named the dog we got last March Arya.)

Yes... I am getting a bit confused about what is happening in King's Landing because of all these uncles and maesters and random council people Cersei is dealing with.

Peter Nicole, try this website out: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/...

It has a really good section for chapter recaps and the character pages are handy for reminding you who the obscure character that suddenly became important is. The grography section is nice too. ecause it has all the known maps in one spot.

A word of warning though, if you don't like spoilers be careful as all the information up to the fifth book (and from excerpts of the sixth for some) is included on the page. most characters have orgbized into subsections by each book, but it is really easy to accidentally spoil something by reading too much.
