Elizabeth (Alaska) It appears that the most recent librarian edit for:

A Changed Man and Other Stories Hardy, has combined

a work by E.T.A. Hoffmann

see the page of librarian edits at

https://www.goodreads.com/book/edits/...

I was looking to verify the original publication date for the Hardy title, which cannot be 1810 as he wasn't born until 1840.

Needs separating, but the import looks quite fishy and wanted to report before doing anything.

Sorry, what is wrong with this import? https://www.goodreads.com/book/edits/...

Elizabeth (Alaska) It's the Nov 3 2014 I was looking at, which is for a different work. But as I read further, it appears the wrong combine happened earlier and has been perpetuated.

How does a combine with a different author happen?

Elizabeth (Alaska) Holy, moly! Looking on the page 13 of edits, the wrong combine happened in April 2008.

I can work on this if you wish, Rivka. Is there a procedure you've developed that would make it less painful?

I'll have to take a look later tonight. Please hold off on any edits until then.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Excellent! Thank you!

Ok, I think the two works are disentangled. (Just FYI, the combine has to have taken place after early 2012, when one edition of the Hardy book was accidentally marked as being by E.T.A. Hoffmann by a bad import. From a source we have not used for over 2 years.)
