Amazon transfer to OZ store

My very old Kindle Device used to WiFi sync when I bought EBOOKS on amazon.com, However, since my store account was transferred to amazon.com.au , this no longer works. It says "successful', but does not update on the device. Any other Australians had the same problem ?
