Haymitch and Effie

I noticed that a lot of people wanted Haymitch and Effie to get together at the end of the trilogy. What do you think of this pairing?

i love haymitch, and dislike effie. for this reason i dont think they would get along well either (romantically) unless they have a common goal. even then, both of them had very different ways of achieving their success. haymitch is all sarcasm and rough prodding whereas effie tries to be as sweet, and patient as possible. effie is from the capitol, she cares about fashion and food and decorations whereas haymitch....just wants his liquor. i dont think she'd put up with his drinking willingly and it takes a lot to coax haymitch into wearing a suit and tie.

I can't see Haymitch and Effie get together romantically. The don't get along very well and they have 2 very differently personalities. The only thing they have in common is watching over Peeta and Katniss.

Haymitch and Effie are complete opposites, but they both share one thing in common…they both are trying desperately, and differently, to keep P and K alive. Of course Effie would make Haymitch cut his hair.

This is about the most ridiculous idea I've ever heard. To Haymitch, Effie is just another innocent, spoiled Capitol child. Someone who's never had their heart broken. To Effie, Haymitch is just another pessimistic drinker without any manners, that she's forced to work with.

Yeah, I have to agree with Shadows, here. I love them both, but they would hate each other.
