this is part of my personal challenge to read more about spirituality this year. This book is very similar to a couple of others that I've read so far this year.

Overall, the underlying message is that fear and worry add no value. By focusing on the present and sowing gratitude for all that you have, instead of focusing on what you think will make your life better, what you don't have, what you wish you had, comparing yourself to others, etc... Focusing on the now and what makes you happy makes you happy. As soon as you change to focus on those other things then the fear, worry, etc are allowed back in.

It's a great reminder on what a change of perspective in your thinking can really do for your overall attitude and outlook on life. I think it's a very important message for right now. Instead of being focused on what we can't have and what we can't do, be grateful for the time, the ability to slow down, and what you do have and can do. For me, I immediately feel lighter and happier.
