I read this book back in 2014 and have very foggy memories of it. I recall being mightily confused. Parts of the book dragged on, others were enjoyable, overall quite all over the place! And then the ending was upsetting, or perhaps I mean unsatisfactory. The writing and sentence structure was the main redeeming factor. I didn't hate Life of Pi, but I also don't look back on it fondly.
I read this a few years ago, I didnt like it , found the majority of the book boring. Thats just me though, I know others who love it.
I found the book interesting as it’s different from anything I’d ever read before- about survival at sea, and how our instincts take over and we can do anything in order to help ourselves survive. I also aspire to work in the biological field, so this book showed me a unique perspective on animals, and how similar humans can be to other animals when faced with a life threatening situation- we all want to survive. I remember loving the movie too.
