My copy is supposed to be here today!! I'm so excited!
I pre-ordered mine on Amazon and it is finally "out for delivery" today. should have it when I get home from work.

As for Mr. Harrigan's Phone... really good story... (view spoiler) And I love the narrator. Can't wait to get to the Holly story, but I've promised myself that I'd finish Tommyknockers before I go back to If It Bleeds.
For me, ebooks never quenched the thirst the same way. I found that I actually read less when I was using my Kindle or the Kindle app on my phone. There is just something cathartic about flipping through the pages of an actual book. With that being said, I am definitely ok with others reading ebooks, whatever it takes to keep society reading, I am all for it.
I pre-ordered my copy back in January and my estimated delivery date is May 1-2. I don't mind eBooks for some books, but for my favorite authors such as King, I prefer in print.
Wow, I prefer e-books, even if I have both a print and an electronic copy. But you know as you get older you appreciate things like being able to enlarge to size of the type, and not having to hold a thick book especially at the start and the end. I usually have both an e-book and a paperback. I read the e-book but \keep my place in the paperback and go back to double check on some lines. Even when people give me a paperback or a hard cover, I usually go out and buy the e-book and read that. If course if the book is out on audio that might be my first choice. But then I still get the paperback.

I still pre-order my favorite author's hardbacks to collect, but I read the e-books.
I only access ebooks when traveling. I prefer holding a hardback in my hands and being transported.
I never thought of those reasons for preferring an ebook. Very valid arguments Nick. I have noticed as I get older that some of the tomes I enjoy can be quite uncomfortable to hold. Perhaps I will give it another go eventually, especially with the 700+ page books.

For real though all kidding aside, I'm really greatful for Kandice and Nick showing me the light. Ebooks are super cool! I read The Tommyknockers ebook, I just finished The Switch by Elmore Leonard on ebook and am now reading Rum Punch also by Elmore Leonard also on ebook. Really handy checking out ebooks from the library since the libraries are closed. So yeah that's my two cents.

I can read it right now. Kindle makes it easy since a book that is on your table or Kindle can also be on your phone. It even knows the exact place. Same thing with audiobooks by the way. With whisper-sync, it hooks your e-book to your audiobook so you can bounce back and forth between them. Sill I also agree when you're on a plane or something and you suddenly realize, oh yeah, I have a paperback and I can read it right now whether the plane is taking off or not.
Anyway, enough about media. I have to finish Tommyknockers so I can get to the next novella in IF IT BLEEDS.
Nook has the same features as far as being available on your phone, keeping your place and being available at any time.
Harrigan's phone was an enjoyable read, had a slight Low Men In Yellow Coats/Apt Pupil feel due to the relationship between young and old. And of course the character development was great. I'm going to save the title story for last. I want to close on a Holly Gibney adventure.
Closing on the Holly story is a good idea. It is 3rd in the book. It was difficult to keep going to the 4th story after the exciting Holly story.
I finished Mr. Harrigans phones and life of chuck But if it bleeds spoiled end of watch for me so I have to go back to read end of watch before I can come back and finish if it bleeds because I only read mr Mercedes and finders keepers.

I have a huge list of Stephen King books that I MUST read now haha. But at least I wont start 'If It Bleeds' before I read the trilogy. Thanks!
I won’t penalize if it bleeds for spoiling end of watch for me though since it’s my favorite trilogy.But yeah I recommend you read the bill Hodges trilogy before reading the if it bleeds novella part of the if bleeds book.
I'm through with the first two stories. I loved Mr. Harrigan's phone, still on the fence about Life of Chuck though, that was a bit uneven."The Outsider" already spoiled the end of "End of Watch" for me so that's ok and anyway, Holly is one of my favourite characters.
Passing on this because i'm still reading the backlog of King chronologically and I'm still on the Tommyknockers. Since I haven't read the Hodges trilogy yet I don't want to stumble across the spoilers. Will join back in next month with the Dark Half. Enjoy!

Now I’m headed into the “Rat” novella.
I mistakenly read The Outsider before I read Bill Hodges trilogy but I still ended up enjoying the trilogy quite a bit.
I preordered from Amazon in January and I am still waiting for my copy.
I’m on the third novella (the title story). I honestly felt like the first 2 were too short and abrupt for me to enjoy. However, I am already really liking the title novella much better :)

Dang!! My mom preordered hers from Amazon and received it last Friday. I wonder if you could cancel and reorder it?
I think Amazon is sold out. I had it on my wish list and it said 42 new or used.
It looks like you can still buy it but the availability is end of May/beginning of June.

The label was created (after the publish date) and sat for days before being shipped. Now it’s sitting at the post office from hell. This one post office, your packages can sit for almost a week before going out again to the next PO.
I didn’t even receive my shipped email with tracking from Amazon until 4/29.

It’s not sold out and it says “free delivery between May 7-10.” Of course that changes by day.
Frustrating since I pay for Prime.

How did you get it on the 16th? That’s five days before the release dat.
I know a lot of people that got it early. I was frustrated because I didn't, but I also ordered the e-book which showed up on my shelf at midnight so I could read it while traveling.
I’m frustrated because it still hasn’t arrived and AI have no idea when it will come.

Completely understood. I find that reading a book first, helps me when reading other reviews. I don't like to be influenced beforehand and I certainly don't want to risk any spoilers whether intended or unintended. I look forward to when you are finished reading (or listening) to it and we can share our thoughts.

Something may have gone wrong with your order. I had a computer glitch happen with one through Amazon and customer support was able to do a reorder and waive the shipping fees.
I ended up going to walmart for my physical copy.
I’m savoring this novel, I love King’s short stories like no other writer.

They shipped it but they shipped it over a week after the publish date. Now it’s sitting in the post office from hell. Who knows when it will leave that PO. I had a Fed Ex pkg that was dropped off there and it was almost a week before it left. That location gets bad reviews.

Oh so it's the post office. With it taking that long for packages to go out for delivery, it sounds like the location is under staff and the pandemic probably hasn't helped matters.
I’m awaiting the book to arrive here on Thursday - in Varna, Bulgaria - via Amazon.

Amazon says they are giving priority to "essential items." So other things do ship later.

Also, I pre-ordered another book the same day as If It Bleeds on January 27th. That book comes out tomorrow. I received my tracking email today. The book will arrive tomorrow. Not shipping it out late and still two-day prime shipping.
So some things are going out on time and others are not. There is zero consistency. My SK book still should have been sent two-day Prime even if it was delayed due to the virus and not an essential item.
I have ordered lots of items that are not essential (not books either) that have all shipped with two-day shipping even if it was slightly delayed as to when it would ship.

Yes, especially since I ordered a book last night and it’s coming tomorrow as well.
