Getting Started

Hello all. Things have seemed pretty quiet here, and understandably so. Hope everyone is coping well through all of this. We are just a day away from our next book, Here I Stand. A Life or Martin Luther by Roland Bainton.

To kick things off let me ask this. When you hear the name Martin Luther, what comes to your mind first. This can be fact, anecdote or even rumor and speculation. This is a safe place to simply say, here is my first impression of Luther. Hopefully this study will help us separate fact from fiction.

For me it is two fold. One not so flattering is the accusations of anti semitism

Second is the throwing his ink well at Satan.

Here is a tentative schedule. I know everyone is working in a new context these days and some may struggle to even find time to participate. But for now here is what I would suggest;

April 5-11 Chapters 3-8
April 12-18 Chapters 9-14
April 19-25 Chapters 15-20
April 26-30 Chapters 21-22
