When you either choose a book to read from the library, online or at a bookstore, do you always read the back cover?

For me I don't because it will tell me who ends up dead. I like to leave that as surprise. I only read the front cover and the first page. Then I decide if I want that book or not.

Betty (bettylouise54) | 63 comments I do read the back cover and usually a few pages. I also check to see how ma.y stars and reviews an new author has. I am not usually wrong so I don't have to many DNF.

Dawn I must read the back or the blurb in goodreads. And sometimes I go by the ratings on goodreads but not alwayat.

Jill Tool Sometimes I read the back or jacket cover and sometimes I go with just the cover. I don't usually go by the reviews on goodreads because so many people have different taste. There's been times I have loved a books an everyone else has hated it or given it such bad reviews and sometimes they spoil it and not put spoiler in it. There's also been times that I've like the cover, read the back of the book and thought it would be really really good and then wished I hadn't spent the money on it.

Jill Tool I know I was very disappointed. The books was China Dolls by Lisa See by Lisa See. I been wanting to read it and my son bought it for me. I was so excited and then very very let down. I'm keeping the book just because my son bought it for me.

Jill Tool Oh I'm sure he will. He usually gets me a book or two for Christmas and since I have the nook, he'll ask me for a list of 5 - 10 books and then buys them for me, I don't know which ones until he gives me my nook back.

I sure will. But it makes a bad Christmas eve for me to not be able to read, since he has my nook until we open presents.

Jill Tool That it is...This year he got his dad a bottle of Tennesee Honey, the alcohol kind. That will last my husband several years, we are such high drinkers...lol... but he said its to make up for Christmas past when he didn't have a job that paid that well. He is such a thoughful son. Wish the girls were as thoughtful as he is...lol...They give us a list that can circle the globe five times over....lol....

Sherill Leonardi (sherillleonardi) | 2 comments I read the back cover as well as the first 10-15 pages. It's not bombproof but usually gives me a clue.
