Unable to write special letter on additional author

I have one small problem:
I'm unable to edit three books, there is small error in name of translators. They should have special letter "č" and "ć" but system keeps writing "c" instead.

How to solve this?

Add it without the special character, the go to the author profile and edit the profile to have the special character, then merge if there is already a profile

Yes, system is searching already known authors so profile of author should have right form. How obvious.
