I'm excited, I've had this series for over a year now, and been trying to find the time, now I'm going to make time :) >.<
This book has been hanging out on my TBR shelf for over a year and a half- I was so glad to finally get that nudge to read it! I love mythology, so the fact this book incorporates it was a plus. The story was interesting and I liked it well enough. I gave it 3 stars. Here's my full review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I have always wanted to read this series so I was excited that it was chosen as the BOTM. I had always put it off because of the terrible reviews on good reads (I know-follower) but I have to say that it did not meet my expectations at all. I gave it 2.5 stars- it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either.
This book was not on my reading radar at all. I'm always hesitant to read the first book of a series but I already read enough series and don't need to get sucked into another one. Thankfully, I didn't really like this book and am not interested in reading any more of it. All of the characters except Kate's mom were completely boring and predictable. I found myself bored with every chapter and was ecstatic when I reached the end. The story had the potential to be amazing but was bogged down by horrible pacing and generic bland characters. I wish I felt differently about this book but I can't wait until it fades from my memory that I ever read this book in the first place.

Happy reading
