Lauren C | 81 comments Since we're all stuck at home, maybe you have more time to read-- but don't know what to read next! Post below with the kind of books you like, maybe some titles or authors you've especially loved in the past, and we'll get back to you with a recommendation or two.

Jane | 33 comments Hello! I’m always looking for recommendations. I’m currently reading Agatha Christie’s Poirot Investigates. My favorite genres are mystery, thriller, historical fiction, and contemporary fiction but I’ll read pretty much anything.

Kathleen | 71 comments If you don't mind a paranormal element, I can recommend the Greta Helsing series. In the first one, a doctor must track down and stop a mysterious cult that keeps trying to kill her otherworldy patients. You can read the first bit here! https://www.orbitbooks.net/orbit-exce...

Lauren C | 81 comments Oooh thanks Kathleen, for the recommendation! I'm going to add two other mystery series that I enjoy myself (I'm a big Agatha Christie reader). One is the Brother Cadfael mysteries by Ellis Peters-- these are pretty old, but I just started reading them and am very much enjoying them.
The other series, if you're looking for something more contemporary, are the CB Strike mysteries by Robert Galbraith... better known as JK Rowling.

Jane | 33 comments Thanks for the recommendations! If you like Agatha Christie, you might also like Louise Penny. Her series takes place in a modern day small town in Quebec but it definitely reminds me of Agatha Christie.

Thanks, Jane! I've heard of those Louise Penny books but I've never actually read one-- maybe I'll pick one up next!

They are similar in tone. Mysteries in a small town. Not too gruesome. Might be good reading for these wild days.
