Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) And it looks delicious, Don. I have this on reserve at the library.

I'm looking forward to reading more posts in this thread.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) I love her books and I love foods of many different cultures, so I can't imagine not loving this book, Don. This is a great (for me) first recipe to share.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) It looks and sounds great, Don. Drat this group. Even when I'm not hungry all your posts, Don, and others' posts, tend to make me want to eat. Luckily, it's too late in the day for me to really eat and I try to come into this group NOT right before mealtimes.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) Don, I'll have to make something like this, though my garam masala probably needs replacing. I think it's been a long time since I've used what I have.

Susan Laverty | 51 comments Thanks for your posts Don! I made some paella last week and was really underwhelmed. I splurged for the saffron and then couldn't taste it at all. Is it really necessary? Should I just use a lot?

Thanks Don! Wish I had held off on the saffron now.

I always eat vegan summer rolls at our Thai restaurant here, I should really learn how to make them myself! ;)

I'll have to give it a try soon!

Val Cowhugger (momof2gremlins) | 442 comments Yes! Tell me about it! When I learned English, I learned those to be 'spring rolls' and that's how I knew them for a loooong time! ;P Suddenly here they have 'summer rolls' and interestingly the 'spring rolls' seem to be fried and the 'summer rolls' like the ones above.
