What specifically counts as a contemporary? I'm always a bit confused about that.

I just pick whatever is set in the present, even if it's got fantasy or romance or whatever as a theme as well :) I'm just not sure whether non fiction counts as well

Kelly's right! :) Contemporary books typically are fiction and do not contain any sort of fantasy or sci-fi, unless they are VERY minor elements. But we're flexible here, so if you want to count something as contemporary, we won't yell at you. 😂 We're just happy for everyone to participate!

April is all about contemporary books. Any age range, any topic — as long as it's contemporary, it counts!

Sure! To participate you simply have to try and read at least one book that fits the monthly challenge.
How do I sign up?
Signing up equals posting your potential TBR in the post specifically meant for that. Once you've done that, you're all set!

No problem! You can also just post the books you choose to read as you start them.
How do you know what books I've read for the challenge?
Every time you finish a book, you simply go and edit your TBR-comment in that topic. Strike it through, put it in bold, add "READ" - whatever! Simply make sure it's obvious you finished reading a certain book.
