This list of tasks is not inclusive and just an example of tasks that may be assigned.
Tasks:
1. Each player reads a book by the same author, teams decide author - no pass for this task.
2. Read 6 books rated over 4.0.
3. Read 6 books with over 2500 ratings.
4. Read a minimum of 750 pages in books tagged/shelved as sports.
5. Each player reads the first book in a series, can be same or different series - no pass for this task.
6. Each player reads a book by a new to you author - no pass for this task.
7. Read 4 books in continuing series.
8. Read a minimum of 1000 pages in books with Contemporary Romance as MPG.
9. Read 6 books in the same sub-genre, teams decide.
10. Read 4 books tagged/shelved as PNR or fantasy.
11. Read 4 books first published within the last year.
12. Read 6 books first published between 2000 and 2010.
13. Read a minimum of 600 pages in books with an audio edition.
14. Read 4 books with fewer than 500 reviews.
15. Read 4 books by authors' who write under more than one name (Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb).

43. Each teammate reads a book that has been read by one of the RRRC moderators. No pass for this task.

46. Read over 1000 pages in books written by duo authors.
47. Read 6 books set in a major city.
48. Read a minimum of 750 pages in books featuring shifters.

66. As a team, pick a list with over 100 romance books on it, each member reads a book from that list. No pass for this task.
67. Read 6 books with a specific item on the cover, team selects item.
68. Read a minimum of 1000 pages in books written by an author whose first or last name begins with the first letter of a teammate's screen name.
69. Read over 750 pages in books about the same profession, teams decide which profession.
70. Each teammate reads a book that the teammate after them alphabetically has rated 5 stars. No pass for this task.
71. Read 6 books with alliteration in the title or author's name.
72. Read over 1000 pages in books that are MPG Romance.
73. Read 6 books published in the year one of the teammates joined RRRC, teams decide which teammate.
74. Read 4 books that are NOT MPG Romance.
75. Read 6 books that have the same romance trope, teams decide which trope.

Oh this sounds interesting! Im in xxI read a lot of m/m these days, i enjoy most things with at least a little romance though. I adore fantasy, adventures and sci-fi. While im not a fan of Horror or tragedys. All about the happily ever after!

I have a maybe dumb question but for tasks like ‘read 1,000 pages of romance’ is that as a group or each person?I’m in!
I read a wide array of m/f, m/m, and sometimes f/f too (also sometimes menage lol). I would say my main genres are new adult of any kind, contemporary romance, dark romance, erotic rom, historical romance, and paranormal romance (also YA romance lol basically almost everything)

I'm in but I'll need a team
I don't have a team but I read about 7 books or more a week. Almost exclusively MM, with a handful of MMF thrown in every now and again. I do dip my toe in the MF and FF genres on occasion, but not often. I read all categories but especially love SciFi and Historical; looking at my shelves it appears I also adore Whodunits and read a LOT of PNR/SPN/UF.Anyone want me on their team? Hopefully this won't end up like school where I'm always picked last...
Urgh - I KNOW I shouldn't - I have so much going on - BUT I'll jump on a team of MM readers. Other than non-con and BDSM I am pretty much open to all MM sub-genres. Put me down for 2 books each week - just not reading much at the moment.So Michaelle - you will not be the last one selected (such a tough way to pick players :( At the worst, we can play together :D

This sounds super fun! I'd love to join.I generally read about 3 books a week. I'm pretty good with any kind of romance genre except for suspense or YA. I've kind of been on an MC, shifter, hockey rotation for a while, but I also enjoy historicals and sci-fi. I love getting suggestions on new books/authors to try!
Some of my favs are Ruby Dixon, T.S. Joyce, Sawyer Bennett, Jennifer Ashley, and Meredith Duran.

I would love to do this - I think I missed a good team there with Michaelle and crew :)I only read MM and would prefer a team of MM readers (only because that always leads me to very good reads LOL!). I read most anything - do not love motorcycle clubs or rock stars (but can usually find something). I love mystery, thriller, paranormal/UF, Mpreg, contemporary. Some historical is also good. I'd probably be able to do 2-3 books a week (given the other challenges going on).

I would like to be put in a team! I tend to read more romance than any other genre. Sub-genres (or maybe other genres at times) that I read would be phycological thrillers.
Personally, I prefer more darker and triggering themes when it comes to romance. Basically anything that will give me a total mindf**k.
Also, smut, smut, smut, smut and not the normal kind (if you know, you know).

I'm in!I read both m/f and m/m, almost (but not quite) exclusively romance, and almost all sub-genres. I tend to avoid inspirational and most YA, but even those I'll read if they're needed for a challenge or recommended by someone whose tastes I know are similar to mine. I try to read a variety of sub-genres every month, but for a while now I've been on a RS kick, so I'm reading more of that than anything else.

Signing up as an individual.I have a lot of M/M romance yet to read on my Kindle, as well as some F/F and a couple non-romance titles. I like pretty much any genre except horror, and I prefer happy endings. I have a plethora of sci-fi and fantasy just waiting for me to (virtually) crack open.
I'd like to join a team. I read pretty much anything except non-fiction.
I'm signing up as an individual for an F/M, romantic suspense or sweet romance team. I don't like erotic or smut books. I can read 1 book a week.

8 Week Dash For the Win!
Challenge Dates:
Signups open until April 11, 2020 at 9 PM US EDT.
Remaining Teams Assigned after signups close on April 11, 2020.
First Task Assigned April 14, 2020 at 6 PM US EDT.
Challenge Ends on June 9, 2020 at Midnight US EDT, tasks will not be accepted after this time.
The Amazing Race Team Challenge is a new team challenge where you get to form your teams! Of course, you can also sign up on your own and be added to others to form teams too. 😊 Each team will work together to complete tasks. Once complete, you will be given another task to complete. After the first task, teams will be on different paths with tasks randomly assigned. The same tasks may be assigned to different teams at different times, but no task will be used more than once by the same team. Each team works at their own pace and the team that completes the most tasks at the end of 8 weeks will be the winner!
Teams will consist of 4 members. Please sign up in this thread and indicate if you are signing up as a team or if you are looking for a team. If you are signing up as a team, every team member will need to sign up. You may also sign up as a partial team and either add people as individuals sign up or have them added at the end of signups to bring your team to full strength. If signing up individually, you can include favorite genres/sub-genres and any other preferences to help with matching to like-minded teammates. You may find friends also signing up and form your own teams after signing up as well. I will do my best to match teams from any remaining individuals. Remember signing up individually might mean you get to find new friends! Teams will appoint a leader to keep track of the team's progress through each task.
After the first task is given to everyone, when a team finishes their task they will need to report their completion in the Tracking/Q&A thread. I will confirm the completion and assign their next task. New tasks will not be assigned more frequently than every other day. I will attempt to respond quickly to confirm completion and assign new tasks, but please allow up to 24 hours. If I am unavailable, another mod will assign the task.
Each teammate will need to participate in each task, but may take a pass for one task during the course of the challenge. For some tasks, no passes will be allowed. Completions posts will need to be made when finishing each book for a task, similar to the PtP and Bachelor Challenges. A player will be removed if they make no comment for 5 days after a new task is assigned or 3 days after the rest of the team completes the task (whichever is later), despite attempts to make contact.
There is a 150 page minimum for books, rereads and audios ok. Books may only be used once per player during the challenge. Players may read the same book for a task unless otherwise specified. Books do not have to be romance, but must be fiction.
