Chapters 10-20

(view spoiler)[I'm glad that Penryn has given Raffe a chance. Not jumping into a fight with him. I think they make a good team. He's said that he's not with the other angels, i want to know who he is with exactly. The bodies on the street were a bit disgusting. Those people- monsters- obviously have no sense of...I want to say class. They just left the bodies there with no respect for anyone or anything. They're vultures. I think Penryn would have run if she didn't know Raffe, if she wasn't looking for her sister. Her lock picking skills are amazing, too bad they got caught escaping. Boden is a jerk. I'm glad Penryn beat him up. He deserved it, that *insert vulgar language*. Dee-Dum reminds me of the Weasley twins. I like them, even if they used bribery to get what they wanted. Obi seems likeable, i think i could be okay with him. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 21-31

(view spoiler)[I have this idea that the children who were taken first were changed into these monsters. I think they were experiments. Now I see from what Josiah told Raffe that they act like Nephilim. My guess is that the angels created them to start a war with the humans and this post-apocalyptic world is the result of that. I can't believe that either Dee or Dum is there. I really do hope that Penryn finds her sister before it all goes Kaboom. I'm actually eager to find out more about the angels' operation base and what threy're aiming for. A world made free of children of man perhaps? (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 32-End

(view spoiler)[This last part of the book really drew me in. I was watching VH1 while reading so I only paused my reading when a song I liked came on. (I couldn't resist singing with) Even with all the confusion, the angels still looked down on the humans. Now we saw that it was the demons who started this. Penryn's mother was right all along. I hate what they did to Raffe. Since the beginning of the book, it was obvious that he cared a lot about his wings and in the end to have his hopes brought up only to shut them down by giving his wings to a demon. Insulting, is what I think that is. My assumptions were correct in thinking that those monsters were the abducted children. I can't believe that they made Paige into one of those things, and called her a 'specimen'. I'm glad that Paige came to Penryn's aid and attacked that Frankenstein wannabe. Raffe taking Penryn back to her people and then following them really makes my heart melt. I'd rather think of that than of those monsters in the tank. It would help me sleep better at night. 4/5 stars overall. There were sections that were downright disturbing. Definitely going to read the 2nd book ASAP. (Btw, the 3rd book is being released 12 May 2015...just thought you should know.)
