SOLVED. What is the name of this contemporary Scottish Romance with some time travel

It's been several years since I've read this but really want to again. This is a contemporary Scottish romance that has some time travel in it but that isn't the focus. It would be from sometime between 1996 and 2009.
The Hero is a "modern" Laird from the Scottish Highlands. The heroine is American and traveled to Scotland. They fall in love. He discovers that she is actually somehow supposed to be with his ancestor. Because he can't stand the thought of losing her to the past, he sends her home to the USA, breaking her heart. She returns though and does end up time traveling. IT all works out though, of course.

The main characters are him, her, his mother, possibly a priest and a slightly scorned love interest named Bronwyn.

I have remembered more. She was engaged to another man when she met the Hero. I'm almost positive the man she was engaged to is Andrew and the Hero is Jamie.
The hero's mother is friends with the priest and they found the h's diary she wrote while living in the centuries before. They give the diary to Jamie and he decides to send her back home after reading it. They speak gaelic which the h does not until she comes back, against Jamie's wishes.
