That scene in the parlor where Boyd and Bradley are holding the family hostage and Gavin, Callum and Samantha plot in silence to overtake them...your thoughts about it?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments After hearing that the baby was Bennetts, I was surprised that Gavin could even think straight. Of course, he seemed to come around when he saw Calybrid had palmed the letter opener and he asked Boyd "Can I trust you" while actually looking at Sam. They were all on the same page and just had to hope their plan worked.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I was so sorry that Gavin had to learn about the baby that way. He knew Sam had secrets and someone was after her and he had sworn to protect her, but wow, what a shock and to learn that in a life or death situation.

I firmly believe that if Sam had been able to tell Gavin the truth in her own way and time, he might have had a better reaction. But to have it mixed in with these two reprobates was tough to take, and in front of his family. Way too much.

But, I loved how the "wolves" in the room silently plotted to take these two gutless wonders out, just from simple nods and eye movements. It was poetry.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I really loved this scene. I was so impressed with how Gavin reacted even though he was shocked. I agree, Jonetta. It was poetry.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1811 comments It was a good action scene.

In terms of Sam and Gavin's romance, it just reinforced my issues with her lying to him. Sigh, I had a real problem with her character.
