Hamish the elder affected the lives of so many because of his brutish behavior, leaving a lot of illegitimate children in his wake. Do you think The Rook may be one of them?

I'm not sure if Rook is one of them or not. I wonder if Dorian was in Newgate with someone that The Rook knew from his past.

Those are the two possibilities that cropped up in my thinking. I wondered if they would find another half brother in the Rook.

It's a possibility. I got the feeling from another book that he was of noble birth. Should be a great story.

I think it's definitely possible that The Rook is another half sibling. I agree. This will be a great story.

It was said that The Rook looked like Dorian so I think he's one of them. And, he has some kind of tie to Newgate Prision, maybe with the real Dorian Blackwell.

Having ties to the real Dorian Blackwell would be a nice twist Jonetta.

I went there because The Rook seems he’ll bent on finding something related to Dorian and Newgate.

Yes, it is definitely possible that the Rook is another illegitimate Mackenzie. I'm wondering if he wasn't adopted because he does appear to be well educated and of a higher social class as hinted at in the previous book.
