April 2020 ~ Themes Challenge ~ T.'s Choice
Yes! Now I need to see if I have a book in my library that fits this description that I haven’t read🤔

Please oh please let this trope get my romance mojo rolling again!
I'm in! But I don't know how I'm going to find an audio book that doesn't have steamy scenes that's also a great book for this. I may have to actually read an ebook again!

I know. It's very sad. 😢(and I obviously have much more serious things to be concerned with.)
The only ebooks I've read in the past few months are the books I've edited. I've listened to everything else.

{kisses...from a distance of course} You know I'm kidding with you!
Of course, I'm in! Not sure of my pick, yet. I have way too many to choose from since it's a favorite trope and all.

Renee, here's a few women's fic/romance E-to-L available on audio that have light, little, or no steamy sex. The E-to-L elements will be lighter than what you read in straight romance, but it's still there.
1.) THE TWO LIVES OF LYDIA BIRD by Josie Silver (The E-to-L element is also an F-to-L and maybe a little second chance. Lol)
2,) AN EVERYDAY HERO by Laura Trentham
3.) WHAT ALICE FORGOT by Liane Moriarty (an all-time fave!)
Here are a few of my top fave E-to-L romances. Sorry, nothing to dark or gritty since I'm a sensitive little scaredy-cat.The Hating Game
Waking Olivia
Playing with Fire
Under Locke
Kulti
The Fantasyland Series Box Set
After the Night
Never Apart (YA w/ light fantasy elements)
Act Like It
Pretty Face
The Madness of Viscount Atherbourne
Brave
The Simple Wild
Accidentally on Purpose
Moonlight on Nightingale Way
The Unhoneymooners
The Scot Beds His Wife
You Can Have Manhattan
Get a Life, Chloe Brown

Oh, I really enjoyed An Everyday Hero...I recommend that one! I'm still waiting on The Two Lives of Lydia Bird...but it sounds awesome.

Michele, have you ever read What Alice Forgot? LOVE THAT BOOK! It's been years since I read it, but I can still remember how it made me feel. I read it before I also started listening to audiobooks, but I bet it might be a good one with an Australian narrator. I love accents in my audios. :)
I'm in! Not sure what I'm going to read. I was considering Outmatched but then a few from T's list have tempted me. Brave and Moonlight on Nightingale WayDecisions, decisions 🤔
Leslie wrote: "I'm in! Not sure what I'm going to read. I was considering Outmatched but then a few from T's list have tempted me. Brave and [book:Moonlight on Nightingale Way|2360..."Leslie, have you read others in the On Dublin St. Series? I didn't care for all of them, but Moonlight was one of my favorites. It probably helped that it was E-to-L. :-)
Ooh, such good ideas--thanks! I haven't read What Alice Forgot, Two Lives of Lydia Bird, and a bunch of others. And, OMG! An Everyday Hero is set in the small town of Madison, TN, which is where I was born!A few questions:
Michele--Do I need to read the book that comes before An Everyday Hero? (If either or both characters in AEH are introduced in the first book, I don't like to skip it.)
T--same question about Playing with Fire. Will I miss anything if I don't read the first one? And regarding What Alice Forget--I know you haven't listened to it, but is the story worth it to use one of my audible credits in your opinion?

T., that one has been on my TBR forever! Now I'm thinking I need to move it up!!

If I was missing something from not reading it, I didn't know it.

Omg, I’m going to be reading it the whole month I’m so slow, and I’ve been so busy. Working so much.
Renee ❤️My heroes are ordinary wrote: "Ooh, such good ideas--thanks! I haven't read What Alice Forgot, Two Lives of Lydia Bird, and a bunch of others. And, OMG! An Everyday Hero is set in the small town of Madison, TN, which is where I ..."Renee, I've read both in the Heart of a Hero series and they aren't connected in any way except maybe the mention of a previous character or setting? The characters were brand new. I'm neurotic about reading order and I wouldn't have an issue reading one without the other.
As for Playing With Fire by Kate Meader. Yes, I would read the first book before the second because of character introductions. Also, they H/h in PWF meet each other in the first book and you understand their animosity.
Since What Alice Forgot is an all-time favorite, I definitely think the audio is worth a credit. I'm partial, though. I had even considered listening to it as a re-read. Listen to the audio sample and see if you like it.
Thanks, Michele and T! I'm kind of interested to read a book set in Madison (it's a VERY unremarkable city, so I'm curious how the author is going to portray it), but What Alice Forgot is something I've wanted to read for a while. I'm going to have to think on it.
Melinda wrote: "I just read Karina Halles Nordic King, really good. Perfect for this genre."Thanks Melinda! Nordic King is my pick for this theme!
Lots of good ones out there in this trope! As always I try to find something on KU and the list was long...Melinda, I probably won't read it for a couple weeks so maybe we'll finish around the same time ;)
I love this genre, I think I will go with
, I will see your choices and maybe, just maybe I will change my mind
Cátia wrote: "I love this genre, I think I will go with

I just finished and would rec Arrogant Devil as great e to l story if you like slow burn and jerky heros. 🙂
I'm in! One of my favorite themes!!! :) No idea what I want to read yet! Might do R.L. Mathewson with Ela but I might have read that one. I have read so many of those.,,so good! But I am up for anything! A buddy read of something sounds great too! :)

T.'s birthday choice! ~ A Love So True, Not! (Enemies-to-Lovers)
This will be the discussion thread for all the Enemies-to-Lovers romances we read in April. You can read one...you can read more than one, (yes, please!!), we can have buddy reads, (yes, please again, let's do that!)...we can do whatever we want!
What we do need is for you to sign up, and let us know you intend to participate before the 5th of April and then, (this is the important part), come back and let us how you rated it or what you thought of it before 1159 p.m. of the last day of the month. That's it. Pretty simple, really.
(The last time we did this, we all used our massive TBR piles and made it a rule that this was a TBR challenge...I'm forgoing that rule this time, because-fun! I want this to be fun and not a slog to get through, you know? However, you certainly can stick to that rule, if you want to.)
Each month that you participate and finish on/before the last day of the month, you will get your name added to a list that will be eligible to be randomly selected from at the beginning of 2021 for a $10 Amazon gift card.
*Pay no attention to this spoiler right now, this is just my list of who participated last month in alphabetical order...because my OCD compels me and this makes it slightly easier in the grand scheme of things, LOL!
