I know some reviewers mentioned that they didn't feel the chemistry between these characters. I actually thought the romance portion was pretty good in this one. I thought these two worked well together and weren't panting all over each other everytime they were alone. I thought they had better chemistry than the couple in the previous book.
Allison Brennan writes a great thriller, but a not so good romance. I recognize that Dean and Sonia respected each other a great deal and that was a great base on which to build a relationship. I'm one of the ones who just didn't feel the romance. I got the connection, but didn't feel any chemistry.
At first they did a good job at keeping it professional, but there were a few times that I think they should have backed off a bit more. I did not feel the attraction between the two. Their romance was rushed and all physical. I think they had great work chemistry though.
I like how Melissa put it...” I think they had great work chemistry though.” They were excellent working together and both did a really good job of keeping it professional.
I liked both of them, liked that they were in a relationship with each other. But, I just didn’t feel the chemistry of the romance. It was clinical.
Anita, I agree that Brennan gets the mystery right but is still figuring out romance. This series would be better categorized as mysteries with romantic elements.
