This book by Beatrix Potter has been translated into 36 languages and has sold 45 million copies, now considered one of the best-selling books in history. It explores the life of a naughty rabbit named Peter Rabbit. He gets into all sorts of trouble in the garden of Mr Mcgregor but manages to get away with it every time. To read this book, children could all have teddies of rabbits and investigate their life in comparison to our own personal lives. Using the teddies to feel more connected and involved with the story.
This book is a firm favourite of mine, the mischievous behaviour of Peter Rabbit is entertaining and the language choices made by potter make it appropriate for both a young and older audiences.
