Jeelloo | 5 comments So I don't remember much about this book. But I think I remember the beginning. There's a young girl in a clearing in the woods, there's a river I think, and this knight or warrior rides in on a horse and talks to her, and I -think- she knows him and has talked to him before in the same clearing, but it could be a stranger as well. I know she finds him pretty fascinating though. I think her hair is red but I'm really not sure. It could be black too.

The main thing is that there are shapeshifters, and they change into animals, mostly wolfs and other canine species, but I think they are able to change into most animals. The shapeshifters live in camps in the woods, pretty separated from the rest of the world, and I think I remember getting a sort of native indian feel from them. Oh and the shapeshifting is magic. But there's other magic as well, I think. I'm also not sure about the perspective changing between characters but I -think- there was something like that. Like every other chapter it changed the main character. But don't take my word for it.

I read this probably like 10-15 years ago and I think the cover has a girl standing in a forest surrounded by animals or something like that.
There are alot of books in this series so it doesn't have to be the first one cause if I know one of them I can always find the rest :3

Grateful for any help as I would love to read this series again.

Congrats on finding it--and you've just added to my TBR Mountain Range. I really need to stop adding all these books that people make sound ssoooo interesting. I'm not getting anything done except read.
